It has good body and richness with a nice palate, with a good dark appearance ad nice aroma. The flavour is very nice, rich and chocolaty without being too chocolaty and one-sinded. There is a nice, though mild, complexity and smokiness and it is extremely drinkable. It also has good foam and lace mjg74 (1995), La Mesa, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2007 Really big formidable tan-white head. Dark, but not too dark... had a little reddish hue to it as well. Slight molasses aroma. Really interesting taste. Toast, chocolate, and roasted malts in the taste. It actually had an almost smoky taste. (on a side note I drank this after the bottle said to drink it). mar (1804), Dallas, Texas, USA
