Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available brewery conditioned and cold filtered in 500ml bottles.
This fine beer is a blend of a mature old ale with a younger light beer - just as a true Porter should be. The marriage produces an extremely characterful brew which is dark in colour and complex in taste.

from red apple in bremerton which has been really bringing in different beers as of late. pour is dark brown with a tad bit of ruby to it, it has a frothy tan head. smell - bitter-sweet chocolate, roasted almonds and a hint of coffee. taste - light at first, sweet cocoa, then more bitter and thick on the tongue, goes more bitter as you taste, strong coffee and bitters in the end. nice porter overall.

Sweet malts, roasty, vanilla, with hints of coffee in the aroma. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Smooth and roasty, great easy drinking porter, good chocolate flavors but not over pouring and its surprisingly light. Excellent beer.

This is an excellent porter, in contrast to the same brewery’s Golden Ale (not good). It has good body and richness with a nice palate, with a good dark appearance ad nice aroma. The flavour is very nice, rich and chocolaty without being too chocolaty and one-sinded. There is a nice, though mild, complexity and smokiness and it is extremely drinkable. It also has good foam and lace

Bottle from Hi-Time Wine. Pours a deep amber color. Lightly roasted coffee aroma. A hint of sweet chocolate. Light sweet roasted flavor right up front. Finish is burnt coffee with a little hop character.

Deep brown color with some hints of mahogony. Nose is bittersweet chocolate, dark roast coffee, caramel with heavy roasted malts. Bordering on bitter with a medium body. A pretty good beer if you like the style.

Really big formidable tan-white head. Dark, but not too dark... had a little reddish hue to it as well. Slight molasses aroma. Really interesting taste. Toast, chocolate, and roasted malts in the taste. It actually had an almost smoky taste. (on a side note I drank this after the bottle said to drink it).

poured a nice deep dark brown color. smelled of coffee and malt with a slight hint of sweetness. not a very thick beer yet not very thin either. i’d buy this one again definitely.
