St. Peter’s has a very full bodied taste, smooth yet tettering towards strong (in context of porters obviously). Also, I would comment that the Aroma was appreciably rich, and did well to whet one’s sense of anticipation towards the ensuing deliciousness. TheBeerOrg (1568), Kentucky, USA

Aroma of dates, nuts, chocolate and crystal malt. Taste has light notes of chocolate, brown malt, and crystal. Moderate sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with lush carbonation. ux04 (30), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA

Would enjoy more if chocolate was more present. The aftertaste to me is a bit metallic almost. Definitely worth a try. patrick767 (2019), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 16, 2007 bottle - Pours dark brown with a thin head. The aroma is roast malt and chocolate. The very enjoyable flavor follows suit, featuring lots of roast malt, a good chocolate accent, and mild hops that shows up mostly in the lingering finish. I think it could be rated a bit higher on average, but it looks like their choice of bottles is sometimes leading to skunked beer. That’s too bad. Mine was fine and it’s a very good porter. trickyspaniard (3), Ohio, USA does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Aug 10, 2007 Deep, dark color like oil. Think 2-3 finger head with some lacing. As I drink more I see a deep, ruby red color on the sides. One of the sweeter porters I’ve had, but a good bitter aftertaste. Not as smooth as some others, but interesting flavors from the blend of beers.
Cool bottle with a great appearance, nose, palate, and good (not exceptional) flavor. Would definitely buy again. AndrewC (70), Canterbury, Kent, England

Tasted of freeze-dried coffee and roasted malt with a hint of double cream. Leafy hops and roasted coffee malt on the finish. The texture was of frothy warm ice cream. colts9016 (198), Idaho, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 3, 2007 The color is like motor oil. Chocolate, coffee, malt and a hint of floral is what I could pick up. Very thick body bitter finish and smooth mouth feel. The Beer taste like chocolate, coofee toasted malts. a hint of molasses and bit piney and earthy. overall a good stout.. thebeertourist (2777), Oslo, Norway
