COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular. Also available brewery conditioned and cold filtered in 500ml bottles.
Hops: Challenger and Goldings.
This fine beer is a blend of a mature old ale with a younger light beer - just as a true Porter should be. The marriage produces an extremely characterful brew which is dark in colour and complex in taste.

I love porter beers, but not much for this one, ..... less coffee taste and smell. It turns sour as chill released

i’m surprised this one’s not higher. the body seemed thin at first, but grew on me. Like their cream stout, this beer is ridiculously smooth and actually tasted higher abv than it really is."

330ml bottle served in a chalice. A: Pours a brown color forming a medium aired and big bubbled yellow head. Retention is low but a thin layer lasts for a long time in the surface. Lots of small spotty lacings are left in the glass. Beautiful beer S: Quite milky with strong notes of dark chocolate. Tons of roasted notes. Notes of coffee. British style flowery hops in the end T: Dark chocolate and roasted malts, mainly. Notes of coffee. Brown bread. Slightly sweet upfront and mild and pleasant bitter end. Again, notes of citrus (British style) hops M: Light watery body. Medium to low carbonation. Roast and bitter aftertaste O: Very drinkable beer. Very smooth and pleasant. Bottle, 0.5 l. Dark brown/black colour with small beige head that dissapears in seconds. Low carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts. Taste of coffee and hints of bitter chocolate. A bit sweet at the beginning and bitter at the end. Strong bitter aftertaste. Overall good porter in a really nice bottle.

Dark brown-black body, medium sized off-white head, soapy lacing. Roasted malts, bittersweet chocolate, light toast, some earth. Medium bodied, gentle carbonation, a tad thin in places, mild bitterness in the finish.

500ml bottle from Plumpjack beerz o’ the month. Very dark brown, but you can actually see through it in the light. Small tan head leaving a ring and bubbles. The aroma is great, very roasty with milk and dark chocolate. Slight molasses and anise. The flavor is full and rich, very chocolatey and somewhat sweet, yet with well-balanced bitterness. Dry and ashy on the palate, yet smooth and full - a great dichotomy. Nice beer!

Pint sized bottle poured into a tulip. The aroma is slightly alcoholic with a burnt edge to it, but this fades and notes of chocolate covered berries and chocolate covered oranges comes through. The citrus is a prevalent undertone with additional notes of cookie dough and burnt sugar. It pours a dark, clear, red-brown color with a light tan head that leaves a soapy, medium thick ring with a wispy, island surface. A light, runny lace is left behind. It’s a combination of medium light sweet and medium bitter in taste. The thin, but sticky texture has a zippy carbonation. The medium body contains notes of dark chocolate, fruit, and nuts with some caramel. It finishes dry and clean with notes of burnt grains and herbs. It leaves a light, lingering aftertaste of roasted grains, herbs, and chocolate with a hint of cough syrup and/or alcohol.

50cl bottle. Served at 10degC. Pors pitch black with stout-like head. Malty, plesantly bitter with heavy roasted grains taste. A bit of chocolate and some cinamon. Medium bodied beer, but was quite powdery and dry in the middle. Simple, easy-drinking beer. Beautiful example of porter.
