Think 2-3 finger head with some lacing. As I drink more I see a deep, ruby red color on the sides. One of the sweeter porters I’ve had, but a good bitter aftertaste. Not as smooth as some others, but interesting flavors from the blend of beers.
Cool bottle with a great appearance, nose, palate, and good (not exceptional) flavor. Would definitely buy again. nearbeer (1887), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Dark brown, but transparent with ruby highlights when held to the light. Nice medium head that leaves a sudsy lace. Aroma is mostly subtle and dryish. Some rich chocolate, raisin, and graham cracker, maybe just a whiff of smoke and coffee. Flavor is similar. Palate is smooth and slightly dry. Slight herby hop aftertaste leaves a tingle and balances the malt very well. Excellent beer. corby112 (783), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
