mgermani (591), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada May 10, 2008 Pours a dark brown with amber highlights. Small head with poor retention, some lacing. Aroma typically porter-like, slightly metallic hops, sweet with a light maple syrup. Light smoked taste, which gives an odd savoury flavour given the dark sweetness. Thick chewy body, lightly creamy with low carbonation. Tastes just like a porter should, but I’m pining for more - perhaps Flying Dog and Fullers have really ruined me for porter from now on. Many thanks to SoLan for the surprise extra!

Could be a little smoother, clean finish though. A good example of the style. greenmanalishi (202), Leicestershire, England Jul 19, 2008 pours dark with a small head.
