| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 30, 2008 pours a beautiful honey color with a thin white head. aroma is honey butter with grain/bread. some decent sweet notes in the start with some soapy/chemical hints in the moderately bitter finish. there is no saying that the flavor doesn’t stand out. Finish lingers for a long time. Decent. blutt59 (2096), Dallas, Texas, USA

Pours a hazy, copper color with a thin white head. Aroma is vaguely malted. Thew flavor is more so but also very crisp and clean. Most of St. Peter’s brews are excellent and this is no exception. greenmanalishi (298), Leicestershire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 20, 2008 Updated: Jul 5, 2008Bottle. congratulations to this ale for actually standing out and having a flavour. far too many watered down non-entities in the ’ales’ section of most supermarkets. Pours yellow-gold with a small head. herbal aroma, grassy/hay quality to the taste that is quite distinctive. good mouthfeel with crisp carbonation. a refreshing ale that understates itself on the bottle but delivers a unique flavour. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden amber with a small head. Aroma is pretty fresh, herbal hops with a nice malty balance. This beer is really drinkable, something I rarely find in English Ales. Nice grassy hoppiness, decent carbonation in the mouthfeel and a nice flavor of tree bark. This would be amazing from a cask. ericandersnavy (1051), crossroads, Texas, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 11, 2008 Pours into the glass a clear, pretty golden amber with a fairly thick and fluffy but not persistent head. Aroma is crisp and malty, rather like a lager instead of an ale. Flavor is malty, not complex, a bit on the thin side. Texture is smooth and has a little bit of a bite. Not exciting, but palatable.
