flask type bottle, clerk said bottle was sitting there for close to two years. light malt aroma, with lemon and earthy hop notes. pours a pale copper with head of large bubbles. this was my first clue that the beer was past its prime. light, oxidized malt flavor, fades to a leathery lemon tea flavor. seems like it could have been a good beer but time has not been kind to it.

Very pale yellow body/ white foam. Dry, with a light body. A little salty and earthy/musty. Hops and butter/oily finish. Not worth my $4.59/08 for 1pint,9oz.

50 cL bottle. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a diminishing light orange head. Aroma is medium dry malt with a mild earthy hops note. Flavour has an initial medium dry malt flavour followed by an earthy hops note. Ends with a nice bitterness and mild fruity note.

Bottle, Oddbins, Liverpool. Poured a clear golden amber, shortlived head. Aroma was muted, not much going on, but vaguely herby and bready. Flavour is grassy with some hops, but pretty bland on the whole. Not dreadful but dull and uninspiring.

No longer in the great flask type bottle , but still distinctive. This one called "English Ale". Slightly hazy golden bright beer, small bubbly head. Typiccl English hop aromas, fruity , spicy too. Mostly malted sweet flavours, which luckilly i like, some nice refined bittering from the hops at the end of the mouthful, then its sweet nectarines and a fast end. mouthfeel was OK nothing special but just typical. I kinda liked this , then i do like sweet beers, if you dont avoid.

Bottle shared by Devin at the beach house. After having a few organic beers, I wasn’t expecting that much before tasting this one. Hazy straw blond color with a small white head and lots of carbonation. Ginger spice aroma with lemon pepper and a weird vegetable funk. Some apple and pear in the flavor with honey that finishes dry with mild bitterness. Unbalanced, no lasting flavor.

Bottled, filtered, 500ml flask. Gold with white head. Thin, sweetish beer with burnt honey notes in the flavour. Horrible detergent after taste, highly perfumed late bitter hints, but overall quite poor.
