Light golden-amber, it has a fairly nice off-white head that steadily shrinks. It smells of bread, citrus, with hints of pine and caramel. It has a richness to the feel and flavour with a nice smokey hint lurking under trhe toasty bread, citrus, and pine. It is well balanced with the edge just toward the bitterness. Being flavourful, yet well-rounded and balanced, it is very enjoyable and drinkable, even memorable. emacgee (1864), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

Sweet aroma, slight earthiness, light sweet grassy. The flavor is moderately sweet, mild earthiness, some hop bite, also a little grassy. Average ale. tronraner (1911), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 13, 2007 Bottle (as English Ale). Pours hazy golden orange with tight but small white head. The aroma is caramel and some grassiness, some buttered toast, and a brief whiff of skunk (probably from the fluorescent light in the cooler at the bar). The flavor is quite grassy with lemon, caramel, and toffee notes. The finish is slightly dry and toasty. Meh, it’s ok. mabel (2590), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Poured a shimmering golden ale in th glass with a decent 1 finger sticky white cap...good lacing and cap retention.
Aroma is herbal-earthy almost botanical like a mild heather ale, primal bready malt tones.
On the frontside we taste some sweet bready thick malts with an almost honey-like discernment....then the earthy goldings bitter the mix to balance, finish is slow and wet with gradual bittering overtaking the primal cereal taste and the earthy undertones. Light metallic after taste.
I am really getting to like the St. Peter’s ales as some of the best bottled British ales out there...this is another Organic beer that seems to have more earthy brighter natural tastes. mgermani (864), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 23, 2007 Sudsy, malty aroma - pours a clear light orange with a small white ring of foam. Flavour is not unlike a watered down American IPA - the Target hops taste curiously Pacific-Northwest. Body is light and slightly creamy with a touch less carbonation that I would have liked. Finish is slightly dry. This is weakish but still very drinkable. Curiously un-English tasting, though. mjg74 (1995), La Mesa, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 22, 2007 Bottle from BevMo. Pours a medium golden/orange color. Slightly sweet aroma with bready character. English hoppy aromas. very light smooth flavors up front. Very dry and dusty. Almost seems like a chocolate flavor. Light hop bitterness towards the end.
