Furseth (1328), Kungälv, Sweden Jun 21, 2007 Bottle at Haket Göteborg: Clear red colour, thin head. Aroma is hpoy, caramel, dark Chocolate. Flavor is almost the same, flowery is that I will notis in it.Light body, light to medium dry hopy finish. cbeers21 (563), Miami, Florida, USA Jun 21, 2007 Liked the cream stout, decided to try this one out. Pours clear copper with a small milky head. On the nose the hops are definately present, in addition there is a spicy-metallic tinge as well. Taste is deceptively smooth and flavorful in spite of the hoppy aroma. A malty roundness begins the taste which has hints of malty caramel , grass and something I cant quite put my finger on. There is a quiet and pleasing bite of hops at the end of an otherwise quenching crispingly dry finish. A wonderfully palateable ale unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Jun 13, 2007 50cl, flask shaped, oval, golden colored bottle. (English Ale label) Pours a hazy golden-orange color with a frothy, foamy off-white head. Looks like a cask pour. Smells skunk at first pour. Now that it is in my glass it has a very sweet wort aroma. Lots of grain and cereal in the nose. Creamy texture. Sweet cereal flavors. Finishes with a pleasant hop bitterness. Light carbonation and dry. nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jun 10, 2007 Bottle, with "English Ale" label. Orange-gold and clear, with a medium-sized head that lasts and gives good lace. Green bottle-skunk aroma mostly fades away to a sweet grain and spicy grass, with some rubber band left over from the skunkiness. Taste is interesting and mild: buttery, spicy-sweet caramel, then some slight bittering fades in. The finish is sweet grains, herby hops and dry yeast, with an apple aftertaste. Palate is smooth, dry and light-bodied. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 8, 2007 Clear amber body with a large froth off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with some grassy and floral hops. Light caramel flavor with more grassy and floral hops. BDR (2139), Roseville, Minnesota, USA May 19, 2007 Sweet malty with some hops on the nose of this cloudy yellow beer. Grain malt on the body and not as smooth as I remember. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 19, 2007 Third beer during Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Friday beer tasting of "Lawn Mower Beers." Pours a deep cloudy golden yellow brew with a small white head that diminishes quickly. Sparce lacing. Aroma is citrus, wet front yard lawn, and a touch of skonk. I am wondering if this has been on the shelf a little too long. Taste is smooth, medium body, little carbonation, and a touch of orange peel. Finish is flat and a little watery. Cool looking bottles though. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA May 10, 2007 16.9oz bottle-pours no head and amber color. Aroma is lemon-citrus, grassy, bread, medium malt-caramel. Taste is medium malt-caramel and English flat hops bitterness. Middle of style. Occasional. OK/mild carbonation.
