Third beer during Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Friday beer tasting of "Lawn Mower Beers." Pours a deep cloudy golden yellow brew with a small white head that diminishes quickly. Sparce lacing. Aroma is citrus, wet front yard lawn, and a touch of skonk. I am wondering if this has been on the shelf a little too long. Taste is smooth, medium body, little carbonation, and a touch of orange peel. Finish is flat and a little watery. Cool looking bottles though.

16.9oz bottle-pours no head and amber color. Aroma is lemon-citrus, grassy, bread, medium malt-caramel. Taste is medium malt-caramel and English flat hops bitterness. Middle of style. Occasional. OK/mild carbonation.

Yup, I get the buttery/silky feeling in the mouth too. Very smooth with nice finish. Malty and biscuity. Not too much carbonation, but as I said, enough to give it a nice rounded ’full’ feel in the mout.Thin off-white head lasts down glass. Bought one bottle from Asda, but wish I had more, always a good sign!!

1 pint bottle, label is "St Peters English Ale." Pours an amber color with small white head. Aromas of hops, malt, and fruit. Palate is very very soft. I like the mouthfeel. Flavor is malty fruity and not bitter. Very little carbonation.

500ml bottle. Pours a golden amber colour with almost no head at all. Aromas of hops, malt, earthyness, and a hint of honey. A very earthy flavour with hops and malt coming through as well. A bitter finish comes through in the end. very little carbonation.

Bottle. Earthy, rye-like hoppy aroma. Malt is also evident. There also seems to be a really mild skunky aroma. Reddish blonde, no head to speak of beside a light coating of bubbles. I have poured the majority of the bottle out and I don’t see any yeast (troubling) or sediment. The taste is kinda good at first, nice, rich malt, some nuttiness, breadiness, and brown sugar but the hops come next and I don’t care for them, and they come in spades, or so it seems. The hops seem to be harsh and their flavor is grating, tons of dirty earthy flavor along with a touch of floral, maybe a freshly planed flower garden? I still get a bit of the skunkiness. The mouthfeel is pretty good, thanks to the malt bill and lower carbonation levels. There is a perception of a sweetness that is not there, or is cleaned up by the bitterness. This beer has some flaws that I cannot overlook, but I cannot say that I didn’t enjoy parts of this beer. I would try it again in draft/cask form. I believe I would underrate this beer at a festival or as part of a session. This has been the first beer of the day, had it flowed up anything, I fear that the redeming points of this beer would have been lost.
