zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Mar 25, 2007 (bottle - 500 ml) Slightly hazy orange pour with a very thin layer of foam. Aroma is malty with some hints of hops. Very well balanced. Flavor begins very sweet with a smooth and balanced middle and a slightly bitter and malty finish. A little thin but pretty tasty. Shmuel (3), London, England does not count Mar 25, 2007 An extremely drinkable light ale. Of particular note is the two-stage taste: first a sweet honey at the tip of your tongue then a darker bitterness at the back of your mouth as you swallow. davegore (200), liverpool, Merseyside, England Mar 11, 2007 pours a golden colour with no head whatsoever. initial aroma of malt and in the mouth which leads onto a sweetness which is quite hard to place and which i found to be quite off putting. lingers in the mouth but this beer just seems to be pretty one dimensional Diablo9845 (62), Barrie, Ontario, Canada Mar 9, 2007 Updated: Mar 13, 2007Nice ale, very murkey pale golden in colour with a pleasent but sublte aroma. Taste was average, but easy to drink. Very small head. Very little aftertaste. Overall descent beer. churchill00 (154), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 9, 2007 Sour and bitter. Hops have a grainy taste to them. Nice, but I wouldn’t buy it again. This brewery makes an amazing cream stout--try that if you haven’t yet. ekstedt (2411), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 8, 2007 Bottle. Light amber colour, small white head. Bready malt aroma with some hops. Medium bodied. A little unbalanced sweet finish. M0RHI (1067), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Mar 2, 2007 Bottle. Pours light chestnut , bubbly white head. Sweet, yeasty, warm bread in the nose, hops and sweet malt, brilliant. Initially watery, then sweet maltiness, some yeastiness and more of that freshly baked bread shines through. Hoppiness appears as a separate entity, bringing with it some kind of raisiny-piney taste, that doesn’t mix with the predominant bread taste from before. They both fight it out in the palate, but don’t compliment each other all that well. Excellent on its merits, just not perfectly formed. michael-pollack (2603), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 2, 2007 Bottle: Lightly sweet aroma. Smells like fresh baked wheat bread. A little earthy/herbal hops, but also some caramel or cereal malts notes. Poured amber in color with a small, off-white head that mostly diminished. Small lacing. Hazy but still clear. Very sparkling. Flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Bready and malty. Tastes like wheat, cereal, and Cheeri-Os. Bitter and dry going down, but very sweet finish. Unbalanced. Light to medium body. Watery. average carbonation. Finish is long and very sweet.
