Starts with a honey tinge, quickly followed by malt, and then very definite citrus hop. Malt and hop play back and forth, and after awhile a slight sour note seems to rise. Not bad, just different. Overall the finish seems to be a very nice bitter. hayduke (1629), Eureka, California, USA

Poured an interesting orange to light amber color with a small white head that left mnimal lacing. Nose was very mild, and was of hops and citurs. Flavor was mild as well and again was hops, with malts and a citurs tinge. Mouthfeel mild and finish a slight bitterness. Actually not bad to drink,
and worth trying once, but overpriced in my location.
Update: price as risen to $4/25 as on 8.26.08. hughie (3050), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jan 18, 2007 Golden with a white head. Pleasant, (and quite unusual) sweet and spicy hop aroma. Taste is mainly malt with a little sourness. Low to mid bitterness. It’s not bad. beachbum25 (783), Powellville, Maryland, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 13, 2007 Updated: Sep 16, 2007500 ML Bottle-poured a clear reddish/amber color w/almost no head or lacing. Didn’t really have much aroma, maybe a little hops or malt or...something. Thin flavor of malted barley, a little sweet, somewhat watery. Didn’t really get much out of this one, maybe some corn & caramel. Somewhat metalic flavor & finish.
Rerate-9/16/07-Tried this again; may have been a little harsh on it the first time. It is certainly a drinkable brew, but not spectacular. Labeled as an English ale & it had that ESB flavor to it, has some bitterness slimchill (777), Austin, Texas, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | Jan 11, 2007 Pours ugly clear-yellow, settles into a patchy light head. Nose is malty, boring. Extremely dry, sour. Light hops present, and some orange peel. Kind of boring, bordering on unpleasant. rauchbier (2996), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England

Must be the organic upbringing that is so distinctive. Hits the palate just right to make you want more. Why must it be so much $$$? Medium bodied, veggie type taste, rawer feeling. I like it.
