In the bottle at the HyVee Oktoberfest beer tasting in Council Bluffs. Medium yellow color. Aroma is slightly skunked with a trace of hops. Big bubbles in head, like the surface of the moon. Taste is ok, but not enjoyable. Not a pleasant beer-drinking experience.

Vibrant orange pour. Lovely soft, rounded malty hop balance. A hint of honey and lemon in the nose. Finely carbonated, silky mouthfeel. Lingers in the nostrils with some moreish breadiness. A tangy hop finish that puts me in mind of a classic English ale (Hook Norton, Timothy Taylor?). After the honey porter, a very pleasant surprise indeed.

Bright amber color, with an off-white head, nice candied orange peels fruity nose, with a peachy accent, sweet toasted malt, hint of honey in the aroma follows trhrough on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp flowery hops fruitiness character, with some orangeish and peachy notes, toasted malt accent, leading towards a dry leafy bitterness finish.

Nice bottle, but looks aren’t eveything!Nice golden colour, head is nowt but a thin isle of small bubbles floating in the middle of my glass, and a few stragglers clinging to side.Aroma is good tho! Quite fruity, with a slight maltiness. The palate lacks balance, and has an unpleasant harsh edge which increases after you’ve swallowed and the finish kicks in.

Bottled(the bottle is nice). Pours a hazy orange with a small head. Aroma is of hops and sour malt with some skunk. Flavor was hoppy and sweet. It was just mildly ok for me.

Half pint on cask. Clear amber. Only a ring layer of foam. Sweet citrus sharpness in aroma. Hoppy foundation in taste with some fruity softness of mandarin and apricot. Like it (Jerusalem Tavern 20.09.2006).

Bottle. A biot flat however he aromas and flavors are nice, Both are dominated by malts and a subtle bitterness. You can detect hints of caramel and a subtle bitterness. However the lack of any carbonation is a signifcant mark down in my book, at least when it concerns this style.
