Pours clear golden with a small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, light bready and a touch of grassy hops. Light carbonation. Fair and dry mouthfeel. Dry flavour, some bready malts sweetness and a touch of pear. Some dry hops to end it off well. joergen (8430), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 17, 2009 Bottle at Københavnske Øldage 2009.
Clear golden coloured with a small white head.
Sweet aroma of caramel and fruits with notes of hops and bisquits.
Sweet flavour of caramel and hops with notes of grass and bisquits.
Hoppy finish. livelaughlovep (96), Lakewood, Ohio, USA May 14, 2009 Fruit, malt, caramel, biscuts and grapefruits. Pretty refreshing - I had it under the label of "English Ale". Elwood (677), Leesburg, Virginia, USA May 5, 2009 1 pt. bottle. Pours a light amber-orange with a small, foamy, off-white head. Skunky/wet dog aroma with some sweet malt in the background. Hints of caramel and pine in there as well. Medium carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel. Slightly dry. Honey, caramel, slight floral notes, a touch of pine, and grass on the palate. Medium finish with a little honey sweetness and hop bitterness. A decent beer on the palate, but the wet dog smell makes it hard to enjoy. Medium lacing. Papillon (172), Sudbury, Ontario, Canada May 2, 2009 500 mL Bottle. Clear gold body with a thin dissipating white head that settles to a wispy ring leaving some lace. Aroma is sweet malt with notes of honey, floral, caramel, crystal malt, and pine with a sweet syrupy character about it. The flavor is a nice balance of sweet malt and hop bitter with crystal malt expressing in the aftertaste followed by a dry bitter finish. I’d consider this one more of a bitter than a Golden Ale / Blonde Ale as described in this RB listing. Whatever it is, I like it. PaulHegedus (459), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada May 2, 2009 Bottle. This is golden, transparent with heavy carbonation and a disappearing white head. There’s lots of lemon, grain in the mild aroma. I taste hop bitterness with pine up front; there’s background sweetness in the malt, some bread and butter, more hop bitterness. l1br4r14n (274), Washington, Washington DC, USA Apr 16, 2009 Updated: Apr 17, 2009Pours light amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is somewhat skunky but lessens after the initial pour. Moderate carbonation and kind of watery. The palate is actually refreshing, but the flavor isn’t. Bitter hops attack, then linger along with a little tartness. Meh. Yeggo (37), USA Mar 31, 2009 hay, earthy, amber, hazy, aminimal head, light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, creamy, average carbonation
