Homebrewerguy (284), Oil City, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 27, 2005 This bottle was labeled as St. Peter’s English Ale. Poured with little head and was very cloudy. I thought maybe it was caused by yeast but I found no sediment in the bottle. The flavor was citrus hop dominated with some roast malt flavor. A light refreshing beer with a slight hop bite at the finish. Rather an ordinary beer considering the price of the bottle. tlitt2 (58), Lexington, Kentucky, USA Dec 18, 2005 Orange appearance with medium white fluffy head. Aroma of caramel, slight strange mustiness maybe. Drank slightly warmer than usual, but flavor was incredibly caramel/ toffee/ butterscotch. Maybe a little much so. But beer was still enjoyable. Quick, simple finish to a decent english ale... and hey- it’s organic! So you gotta feel good about that, right? bells (4), Australia does not count Dec 17, 2005 Was first attracted to it by the flash bottle, kind of looks like a scotch bottle or something. aroma was lquite perfume like but sort of musky and a bit of lime/citrus thrown in for good measure, had slight hints of vanilla to. poured with a reasonably small head but held it right to the end. flavour had a a nice balance of sweetness, bitterness and acid neither out weighed the others. lively carbonation with nice dry texture. Lovely with food. SmellGood (314), Memphis, Tennessee, USA Nov 26, 2005 St. Peters English Ale: I was forwarded to this beer but if they are the same.....anyway, when I poured I was in awe of the depth of the color. Upon tasting, I was not disappointed. Definitely a beer I will drink again. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA Nov 26, 2005 Aroma smells like musty clothes with some citrusy notes toward the tail end. Cloudy aromage in color with almost no head. Smooth and thin with a bit of hop bitterness int he far finish. Some mildly sweet fruit flavor int he fore, but overall there isn’t much taste in this. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 22, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful amber golden with a small head. Lovely caramelish aroma. Quite dry with notes of caramel and nuts. Not much malty sweetness is left here, but the finish is marked hoppy. 060101 nick76 (2636), Tampa, Florida, USA Nov 12, 2005 The aroma is malty, hoppy, and yeasty with some earthiness. The appearance is a hazy amber and the head is small. The flavor is nutty, buttery, and hoppy much like an ESB. The palate is full and rich. Bitter aftertaste. Overall, I like it. crazyvin (1246), New York, USA Nov 7, 2005 poured an amber-orange hue almost like a honey. head was thin and quick to disapper
aroma was corny with a nice hop flavor. taste was mostly hops some yeasty notes though.
