Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Nov 8, 2004 Updated: Jul 5, 2005This poured a golden/amber color with little trace of a head, just a bit of lacing. It’s got a mildly sweet aroma with earthy and grassy hops. Thick in the mouth. The taste is mild, sweet and malty with a hint of hopping at the end. Very clean finish.

11026 (1799), Alabama, USA Nov 6, 2004 Bottle. Light amber color. Scant white head leaves light lacing. Skunky aroma. Bittersweet flavor. Slightly spicey. Kevin (1917), Colorado, USA Nov 2, 2004 bottle. pours a dark yellow without much head. aroma is a floral aroma with a hint of skunk but not in a bad way. this tastes like the beer fosters tried to brew but failed. i know one is an ale and the other an adjunct rich lager but that is the taste i get. nice lingering malt flavor. not bad Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA Nov 2, 2004 Bottle. Skunky hoppy nose. Taste is very mild with a good hop flavor. The malts are subdued and in the background, with the hops taking control. Great session beer. JadoreBlanche (114), London, Ontario, Canada Oct 26, 2004 bottle: Pours an amber coloured body with thin white head. Aromas of hops, and slight caramel, smells aged. tastes of hops, and wheat. Initially sweet then bitterness sets in. Bitterness lingers on tounge. Enjoyable! wilkie (1189), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Oct 26, 2004 Bottle. Small, thin white head. Hazy appearance, golden-amber color. Aroma is bitter, dry and rubbery(reminds me of some German pilseners). Flavor is typical of english pales--a little flat, but plenty malty. The hops kick in the middle. Bitterness is also in aftertaste. Decent beer. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Sep 20, 2004 "Organically grown hops & barley" says the label. Okay, great! But how’s the beer? Is it unfiltered, I wonder, as I watch the pour, cloudy, and a dark amber hue, with a small, vanishing white head. Aroma is coppery, dry, herbal, and very low in the hop department. Malt is just-right, and finish is very brief.
This seems to be in the fine, upstanding tradition of bland, forgettable English ales. The touch of sweetness reminds me more of the Irish style, though.
dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 12, 2004 Updated: Feb 13, 2007amber ale with a mildly hoppy but bitter taste on top of an berry citrus and dusty infused aroma. Could be a tad sweeter as a nice balance, but works for me as an ale. I liked it.
