Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 8, 2004 grapefruit floral aroma from the hops. Orange, thin white cap. Light on tongue. Bitter-sour as British could do. I could take a bit of this above-average brew. Balance hops and malt, short fizzy-watery finish. pintbypint (1002), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jul 28, 2004 Tasted from 500ml light green bottle. Pours light orange. White head was thin but left a lot of lacing in the glass. Skunky/grassy hop aroma prevails with some malt aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, low carbonation. More grassy hop bitterness in the finish along with a slight iron or metallic taste. Finish is long and lingereing. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA Jul 18, 2004 Bottle: The pour was a clear golden orange. The head looks like a thick cream. The aroma was a very enticing citrus and hops. The flavor was disapointing. Nothing bad by any means, but nothing as good as the aroma indicated. It was a subtle hops and citrus. Very drinkable, but nothing exceptional. beanmedic (324), Hamilton, Ontario, Canada Jul 6, 2004 bottle. grassy hoppy aroma. golden colour with a bit of white head that lasts almost until the end of the beer. i really liked this one. quite a nice flavour and aftertaste. Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 24, 2004 A golden beer with no head. The aroma is hoppy sweet and the flavor is sweet malty with lovely hoppy notes. Wheatsheaf (104), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 20, 2004 Bottle. A pale-orange ale that struggles to produce a head. Lightly hoppy aroma is herbal and grassy. Light body with a watery and moderately chalky mouthfeel. Some white bread-like maltiness makes a tedious appearance up front before stepping aside for the rough, woody, grassy hop character. This beer impressed me once several years ago—but, alas, only once. After that initial, fruity, well-balanced, and surprisingly pleasing beer, I have found all subsequent bottles to be seriously lacking. The fruit seems to have vanished completely, leaving a poorly-integrated beer with a vaguely unpleasant flavour and aftertaste. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark Jun 16, 2004 Golden coloured. Rather sweet and slightly fruity. Grassy notes. Rather thin and one dimensional. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jun 7, 2004 One fantastic organic ale. Pours dark and clear, lack of fizziness in the body, this is amazing. Best thing is the mouthfeel, smooth and silky, a treat for the tongue.
