yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Jan 26, 2009 Bottle, thx to tarjei. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. Mostly citrusy hops in the aroma, but some malts lurk in the background. Citrusy, grapefruity flavor with a touch of malts. Nice bitterness in the finish. Medium body. Refreshing and quenching, but also boring as most golden ales. (081108) CelticBrew (676), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Jan 17, 2009 Pours from 16.9 oz bottle a hazy orangish amber color. Aromas of mild hops, perhaps a touch of malt. Flavours were mostly of malt and roasted grains, with some elements of breadiness/yeast, and a somewhat hoppy and dry finish. Not bad, but not great.
ajwilliams (118), , Indiana, USA Jan 6, 2009 Pours a clear golden with a thin head. Bitter, grassy, slightly skunky (probably the clear bottle.) This is a bland beer and the only positive is the cool looking bottle. Not terrible, just not good either. brokephibroke (137), Mead, Colorado, USA Jan 3, 2009 Initial impression is why did I get sucked in by the cool bottle? Smells like a cheap malty US lager. Tastes a bit better, a light balanced beer for the mass market. 48ratrod (5), langley, British Columbia, Canada does not count Jan 1, 2009 love the bottle... small minimal head with sweet aroma, followed with a bittersweet flavour....totally get the green weedy aftertaste. tarjei (1741), Bryne, Norway Dec 19, 2008 50 cl bottle at my 40 y party, shared with yngwie. Bougth at Vaaland, Bryne. Orange brown color, very moderate white head. Aroma is fruity with a bit malt. Flavor is fruity with some bitterness and malt. HighlanderOne (538), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA Dec 14, 2008 Poured from bottle. Aroma gassy at first, settles down to malt and weedy smell. Poured with big soapy bubbles which disappeared leaving minimal head. Medium amber. Decent flavor with malt balanced by bitter hops. Has nice feel to it as well. Just right amount of carbonation. Got a bit offensive toward the end. Good overall. Taverner (827), San Ramon, California, USA Dec 5, 2008 Why they ship across the Atlantic in green bottles is beyond me. Would have been nice except it got skunked on the way across the pond. Has a nice bitter bite ending on biscuit flavors.
