Location/Date:Bottle on May 8th, 2013.

Appearance: Pours a clear orange.
Aroma: Aroma is sweet, nearly like a biscuit.
Taste: Faint bitter, light butter, biscuit.
Palate:Light body.

Summary: This beer is okay - I’m unsure if the bottle was stored properly, or if I’m not looking for the right notes.

Aroma: Metal, grain, honey and a light peppery spice.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a thin white head. Average carbonation. Very light lacing.

Taste: Like the aroma - metal, bread and grain. Caramel and citrus hints. Nice hop bitterness but lacking in character and flavour.

Palate: Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft carbonation.

Overall: Tastes somewhere in between a Pilsner and a Pale Ale. Unfortunately it’s watery and a bit dull - not one I’d have again.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear light orange, with a good sized foamy white head. A pretty pint. Nose is caramel/golden syrup notes, metallic/mineral notes, faint spearmint, and malt. The taste is light caramel followed by a clean hard water note, malt, and a better than average amount of metallic hops. It’s simple, and effective. Makes me think of a Austrian lager with some caramel thrown in.

500 ml bottle from Asda (£1.25) Pours amber, orange, like a slightly lighter Irn-Bru. Small white head which lasts all the way down. Aroma of citrus and straw, not really massive on the nose to be honest. Tastes quite hoppy, bit of citrus, polished wood and straw. Bitter finish which keeps it refreshing. Quite thin on the palate with an average carbonation which I would have prefered down a notch. Overall a pretty decent ale which would maybe appeal to a lager drinker wishing to broaden their horizons. Extra point added to the overall rating for the lovely flask shaped green bottle.
