Tasted from 500ml light green bottle. Pours light orange. White head was thin but left a lot of lacing in the glass. Skunky/grassy hop aroma prevails with some malt aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, low carbonation. More grassy hop bitterness in the finish along with a slight iron or metallic taste. Finish is long and lingereing.

The best part about this beer is the old-school tonic bottle it comes in. Other than that itís pretty boring. Really lifeless pour with virtually no head. Nose of grain and a bit of hop spice, with this lingering mineral scent. Taste is about the same, with a slight roasted note, and a bit of that mouthful-of-pennies feel. Finish is slightly, and ambiguously, dry. Not quite a DP but itís close.

Bottle to stein Cider, cherry, grains, bread, and vinegar. Yellowish amber with an almost non-existent white head. Taste is lemon, straw, hay, barley, cigarette ash, and grass. This is one of the beers that began to pull me away from macro beers and into the world of micro and craft beer. It remains a favorite of mine, but sadly, it doesnít live up to my memory of it.

Cask at the Jerusalem Tavern, London on 2nd July 2014. Copper with thin off-white ring-and-film leaving scant lacing. Floral hop scents and biscuit malt aromas. Delicate floral hoppiness, cookies and fine grass in-mouth where the hops come to the fore. Light smooth velvety mouthfeel and fair body. Enjoyable ale.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice hazy golden yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sliding into the beer. The smell had the English pale malts up front with that typical sweet soapiness and still letting in a some grainy cereal notes. The taste was mainly sweet through the cereal notes and malts but a biscuity breadiness ended up surrounding the flavors. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and for me as it left a certain smoothness that I normally get when I drink English pale ales. Overall, not a bad English pale ale. I suppose it would make a great meal with fish ní chips.

Bottle, pours gold with a white head, tastes of buttery caramel and citrus, decent bitterness to it, okay beer
