Bottle. Poured cloudy amber with little white head. Aroma is floral, hops and spices... Taste is consistent with aroma, crisp, some hops and hints of malts maybe some nuts. finish is definitely bitter. Nice beer.

500ml bottle from Biernavigatie. Clear golden with a small white head. Medium body with light to moderate carbonation. Bitter with smokey tones. Grass, smoke, malts and hops. A good combination of smoke and bitterness, overall it’s quite refreshing despite the smoke.

Pours a clear golden with a wispy white head, aroma includes notes of fruits, straw, light roasted malts, and caramel. Tasting notes include flowery fruits, ripe fruits, nice malt backbone, and a slight bitter finish. This is an excellent bitter, not spectacular but it is above mediocre!

Douberd (1999) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - MAY 21, 2014
Bottle 500 ml at home, into a big Guinness glass, ABV 4.5% Deep golden yellow colour on the body, clear, with a small white head on top, soapy, with low retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of grass, light straw, faint citrus, ash. Nice taste with unexpected smoke on it and light peat, some light citrus too, malts as it warms up, nicely bitter with good duration. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Very nice, I didn’t expect the smokey character on it.

fhoublon (312) - Lachine, Quebec, CANADA - APR 30, 2014

Bottle from morrisons. Amber beer with medium head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Taste is quite a lot of smoke, caramel and malts. Quite suprising, not sure if the smoke is intentional, but seems to improve the beer. Good.

lesifflebiere (1186) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - APR 27, 2014
