Fills up the mouth very well! Lovely, long- lasting bitterness. Somewhat smokey. Great ale!

I tried this beer on November 25, 2007 after purchasing from my local LCBO outlet. The beer poured a dark translucent golden brown with a thin white head. The aroma was very strong on the hops. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, creamy, and with mild carbonation. The flavour was strongly hoppish with a pink grapefruit aftertaste.

This beer is very flavourful, with nice complexity and some subtle notes. Light golden-amber, it has a fairly nice off-white head that steadily shrinks. It smells of bread, citrus, with hints of pine and caramel. It has a richness to the feel and flavour with a nice smokey hint lurking under trhe toasty bread, citrus, and pine. It is well balanced with the edge just toward the bitterness. Being flavourful, yet well-rounded and balanced, it is very enjoyable and drinkable, even memorable.

By far the best beer i’ve tried from the U.K. Very smooth with a nice finish. I would drink this beer more often if it wasn’t so difficult to get.

Yup, I get the buttery/silky feeling in the mouth too. Very smooth with nice finish. Malty and biscuity. Not too much carbonation, but as I said, enough to give it a nice rounded ’full’ feel in the mout.Thin off-white head lasts down glass. Bought one bottle from Asda, but wish I had more, always a good sign!!

I really liked this one. Love the hops. Reminded me of geranium. Good head, and good beer. Can't wait to try all of their beers. Very nice.

500mL bottle from the LCBO. I put this one off for FAR too long! I was worried about skunkage in this one, as well as being bad if not consumed fresh, but I am so pleasantly surprised. Pours an absolutely beautiful deep dark gold with a medium white creamy, think and rocky head. Gorgeous! Smells just as good! Hops upfront like crazy, but after putting my nose too far into the head, I got a nose full of foam that smelled like some of the most delicious malted barley I’ve ever come across. Grapefruity character to the hops. It even smells FRESH, despite being a few months old now. Low effervescence. I was worried this one would choke on the flavour, but thankfully I was wrong. A delicious blend of fresh tasting malt and hops blends together seamlessly, with just the right bitter hop bite in the finish leading into a delicious aftertaste of sweet malted barley. Awesome! Such a cool bottle too, I’m definitely going to be drinking this regularly now despite the high price tag. This seriously tastes as fresh as something from one of my local craft breweries. Well done, this brewery has yet to let me down.

(bottled). Bright honey color and light caramel aroma. Lightish-bodied with a nice malt presence. Hops add nice conterpoint presence and neither under- or over-whelm. Nice session ale.
