Mine was labeled St Peters English Ale and cost $3.85 for a 500 ml bottle from my local Northcoast Coop here in Eureka, CA. Poured an interesting orange to light amber color with a small white head that left mnimal lacing. Nose was very mild, and was of hops and citurs. Flavor was mild as well and again was hops, with malts and a citurs tinge. Mouthfeel mild and finish a slight bitterness. Actually not bad to drink, and worth trying once, but overpriced in my location. Update: price as risen to $4/25 as on 8.26.08.

This poured a golden/amber color with little trace of a head, just a bit of lacing. It’s got a mildly sweet aroma with earthy and grassy hops. Thick in the mouth. The taste is mild, sweet and malty with a hint of hopping at the end. Very clean finish.

500 ml bottle: Hazy apricot color with very little white fisheye foam. Aroma is lightly grassy with some peach. Flavor starts light caramel followed by a little fruityness and a soft grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Dark golden color with a smaller light ecru head. biting pale malt and light floral aroma. Dry nutty, earthy malt flavors. Finishes thin and uneventful.
