Golden coloured. Rather sweet and slightly fruity. Grassy notes. Rather thin and one dimensional.

Yellow coloured, light bodied ale with some bitterness. Somewhat malty, but I’m afraid the bottle has more character than the contents.

24 August 05. St Peters Organic Ale. Bottle. There’s a nice crisp hop aroma here (Fuggles or Goldings if I had to guess), but you really have to snoop around to find it. Not much else - kinda wet-grassy. Pours a cloudy golden, but seems to clear as it warms (?). Uck - hay and...something else. I wouldn’t think there’s corn or rice in this, but that’s what it tastes like. Quite a (negative) contrast to the Cream Stout. Disappointing.

Clear golden with small off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, floral, grapefruit, earthy. Taste is mildly sweet, mostly floral, some buttery and earthy. Mimimal bitterness in the finish. Palate is light and watery.

Bottle. Golden, amber with a small off-white head. Aromas are herbal and floral with biscuit and sweet grapefruit. Flavours are dry biscuit with bitter, slightly sour citrus. Tastes a bit stale. Dry on the finish. Not too bad.

A mediocre, bland effort. The bottle’s great, though. If only the beer tasted as good as the bottle looked.

In flask bottle as St Peter's English Ale. Bit of earthy undertones in the aroma - sweet/rubbery aroma common to most American macros. Golden amber clear with no head. Little carb - almost flat and medium watery body. Clean, crisp taste. Light sweet malts and barley taste. Hops impart a crisp texture and light bitterness. Mild finish and light bitter after. OK ale - nice bottle and touted as organic, but overall I wouldn't have again.

Straight forward light ale. The finish is the best part of this beer, long spicy/earthy aroma.
