Bottle - and what a lovely bottle it is, oval in cross-section. Pours well, light amber body, thin but persistent head, attractive overall. Aroma average, but foretaste excellent - a real citrus-loaded kick up front, very pleasant and refreshing, I wish it were backed up with a thicker mouthfeel and a more pronounced aftertaste. Very pleased with it though, may become a regular.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice hazy golden yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sliding into the beer. The smell had the English pale malts up front with that typical sweet soapiness and still letting in a some grainy cereal notes. The taste was mainly sweet through the cereal notes and malts but a biscuity breadiness ended up surrounding the flavors. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and for me as it left a certain smoothness that I normally get when I drink English pale ales. Overall, not a bad English pale ale. I suppose it would make a great meal with fish n’ chips.

500ml bottle from Biernavigatie. Clear golden with a small white head. Medium body with light to moderate carbonation. Bitter with smokey tones. Grass, smoke, malts and hops. A good combination of smoke and bitterness, overall it’s quite refreshing despite the smoke.

Pours a clear golden with a wispy white head, aroma includes notes of fruits, straw, light roasted malts, and caramel. Tasting notes include flowery fruits, ripe fruits, nice malt backbone, and a slight bitter finish. This is an excellent bitter, not spectacular but it is above mediocre!

Bottle 500 ml at home, into a big Guinness glass, ABV 4.5% Deep golden yellow colour on the body, clear, with a small white head on top, soapy, with low retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of grass, light straw, faint citrus, ash. Nice taste with unexpected smoke on it and light peat, some light citrus too, malts as it warms up, nicely bitter with good duration. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Very nice, I didn’t expect the smokey character on it.

Bottle from morrisons. Amber beer with medium head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Taste is quite a lot of smoke, caramel and malts. Quite suprising, not sure if the smoke is intentional, but seems to improve the beer. Good.
