COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available brewery conditioned and cold filtered in 500ml bottles.
A fine example of a traditional English strong ale. Challenger and Golding hops act in perfect harmony with Suffolk malt and our unique, pure water. The first beer ever to be brewed at St. Peters which, due to popular demand, is now available in bottle.

Bottle. Light copper body, medium to small head. Aroma has caramel and a nice portion of English hops. Taste has a mix of light caramel and plenty of hops but it feels a bit tired. Medium bitter finish with more fruit than caramel. Something chalky in the finish, like in all of their beers. Must be a water thing.

50cl bottle from Drink shop, Tallinn. Pours clear amber with a very small off-white head. Fairly fruity aroma with notes of plums and mild spices, caramel, malt and honey. Fairly sweet and fruity with a rather mild bitterness in the finish. Quite okay.

Bottled, 500ml from Waitrose, Headington, Oxon. Ruby to chestnut with short head. Sweetish, fruity beer with a wine like, plummy, damson character. Quite smooth but fairly thin at the same time. Reasonable.

500ml bottle (Koht, Tallinn)
Nice deep red, brief head. Nice malty aroma, yeasty or marmitey. Dead strong bitter, keg-like. hops a bit extracty. Nothing particularly wrong with this, but not good. So dead. Finish tingle is OK and bitingly dry.

Bouteille 500ml. (2006)
