Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available brewery conditioned and cold filtered in 500ml bottles.
A fine example of a traditional English strong ale. Challenger and Golding hops act in perfect harmony with Suffolk malt and our unique, pure water. The first beer ever to be brewed at St. Peters which, due to popular demand, is now available in bottle.

again, another english ale that i cant tell apart from the others, this is nothing special. Yes i can tatse the hops, but seriosuly this is your regualr english bitter, i dont know why its int he strong ale category its only 5.1%, yes thats slightly high in the UK, but there are lots of other beers that are high and as ESB’s. Meh nothing special. i was pretty disapointed.

500ml bottle - pours reddish copper with an ample, fluffy, off-white head. Aroma is of biscuity malt and floral Golding hops, along with some honey and fruit (apple). Subtle caramel as well. Flavour however is a bit of a let down after this, as it is less robust than the aroma seems to promise, with a mouthfeel that’s a tad on the thin side. Sour apples come through in the finish. Mild-moderate bitterness in the finish. Okay, but unspectacular. Ordinary.
