This is a soft tasting beer, but with a long amount of slightly green and bitter hops. I don’t get much else by way of flavours and layers though. DEcent head, nice lacing, cloudy pour. Could drink a few and not have many regrets

Amber, golden with a small off-white head. Aromas are very hoppy and sweet with perfume floral notes. Some dry biscuit, also. Fresh with light caramel malts. Flavours are biscuit malts with bitter, fruity hops. Dry with lots of bitter grapefruit.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.9%. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly strong aroma of grassy and herbal hops (First Gold), also hints of honey and cinnamon. The flavour has first medium sweet malts with a hint of toffee and mild spices, immediately followed by a distinct hoppy bitterness, becoming quite sharp throughout the long aftertaste.

Bright clear gold beer, small white head. Palate, light, crispy and semi dry. A trace of honey surrounded by fairly bitter hops. The hops have a nice marmalade vibe - grapefruit and a little orange. Fresher orange before the semi dry finish. Strong bitter linger. Decent.

Grima (1864) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - NOV 12, 2012
The beer is pale yellow in the glass with a flat head. It smells restrained hoppy-bitter and subtly grainy. Starts dominant malty, slightly bitter in the background with a moderate hop aroma. The middle part is grassy hoppy, bitter, again grainy with pale malts and lot of hay in the background. Goes into a very grassy and hoppy finish with lots of hay!

Appears yellow-gold in colour with a white head that had better things to do than linger on top of the body of the beer, leaving a partial film in its wake. Plenty of biggish bubbles evident. Aromas of classic English hops and golden malt. Just what it ought to smell of. The flavour is of lovely mellow apricotty malt along with juicy ripe lemons and tangerine. There’s at once a citrus bitterness and plenty of sparkling zingy carbonation. Eminently sessionable and a good exemplar of why I love this style. I would sell off a few organs (not mine of course, someone else’s) to try this on handpull somewhere.
