3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clearish golden orange with small white head. Aroma is quite dry and smoky with lots of peat, a little fruit and bread. Flavour has a dry, smoky character too and is also full of peat with a little fruity sweetness and some breadiness. Finishes dry and smoky. Interesting, but one I’d have in moderation.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
50cl bottle @ hotelroom shared with 77ships. Clear yellow golden color, small white head. Smell a lot of peat, wtf! Did not expect this at all! Taste is so incredibly peaty as well, some smoke and slightly bitter. Low to medium body, low to medium carbo.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml bottle. A hazy amber body, small white head. Aroma of burned rubber, peat, bacon and smoke. Taste of smoked malt, peat, rubber, bacon and grains. Definitely not my style.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It pours golden yellow with red highlights; the head is off-white and mousse-like. The aroma has notes of: iodine, peat, and a heavy woodiness. The taste is a constantly medium dry with light saltiness; there are notes of: peat, wood-smoke, earth, and a faint bread finish. Palate, medium bodied, thin, light carbonation, and long astringent finish (very whisky heavy). Overall, interesting, though a little one-noted.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma is ALL peat. Peat, peat, and more peat. Body is light, flavoris more peat, smoke, and bacon. Very bitter finish, with a smoky aftertaste. Pretty one dimentional.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a beautiful, off-the-map kind of beer. The base pale ale is just enough to prop up all the peaty smoke, the lingering tarry peaty flavors. Under it all is some fruit and pale malt, certainly not thick assertive or sticky which cleanness allows the peat to shine through dry and a little austere. Some neat, elegant noble hops on slightly parching palate and dry-smoky finish. Barely filtered gold look white head and aromas that broadly announce the peat.

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Hazy amber colour with off white head, that goes into a crown quickly. As the name said, the main aroma is whisky, there is also strong smoke aroma and a bit less, aroma of oak barrels. I have to drunk almost half a bottle to get used on that taste. Taste is pretty much bitter with a strong whisky taste. This is not the beer for my taste, but I was glad to tried it.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, LCBO. Dark yellow, small wisp of a white head. Aroma is all peat - super smokey with little else to stand in its wake. Taste - yep, more peaty smoke, pretty much overwhelming. There are hints of a fruit sweet bitter in the background with some decent carbonation and a few hops, but the peat is up front and in the end as well, overwhelming everything. A bit watery as many of this brewery’s beers tend to be. Stick with it, the intensity seems to dissipate the more you drink it. A tough one to call. I prefer a bit more balance in these type of creations, but well worth a try if peat is your thing.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 500 ml
Aroma: medium intense frontal smoky tones with clean balancing sweet hints. Pleasant.7+
Appearance: clear amber gold with large off white frothy top. great lace on glass walls. 4+
Body , Flavour , Palate and Final Notes: medium bodied. Pit smoke , strongly phenolic blend with cask deep inside. This is one sided ... quiet brave adventure for this UK brewer. Finish with dry ash and pit smoke. Late oily base. For serious smoked brews addicts.
Genius or disaster? Choice is yours!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 mL bottle. Bronze with a scattered film of head. Damp smoke in the nose. Pretty strong. Not as strong in the flavour, but still dominates. Some bitterness from the whiskey, a touch of sweetness from the malt. A stronger base beer would enhance the experience. No idea why this is labelled a "Scotch Ale" on this site.
