3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From 500ml bottle. Almost black with relatively rapidly fading cream head leaving no lacing. Descrete aroma of sweet black bread, syrup, some dark dried fruits and maybe some chocolate in the background. Taste dominated by roasted malts and black bread, almost no bitterness but good British malt character. Light creamy smooth mouthfeel with very low carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled 500ml. -from Vrutak Zagreb. Reddish/brown coloured, small beige head, malty nose. Slight roasted malt, caramel, dried fruits, notes of chocolate and alcohol with mild bitter finish. Not so complex for a true winter brew but also not bad at all.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black colored with weakish tan head. Aroma is basically a chocolate cake with nuts and spices. Taste is sweet chocolate, nuts, winter spice mix, with a bitter dry cocoa finish. Medium bodied but hot cocoa thick. Not a St. Peters fan but this one is very nice!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
BOTTLE 50 CL. Right out of the bottle, you get a string raisin and nutty aroma, but, when poured into a glass, the beer smells very basic, almost lageresque. Fortunately, the hops come in waves. First, you get some black malts and raisins. When it arms up - it blossoms! You get some sweet and tart fruit freshness and some nuts. The taste starts as a dry stout - roast barley and moderate bitter finish. Later, the beer gets milder and the roast goes away. You also get some sweet and sour fruity notes. A hint of alcohol. Nice spicy hop finish.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black with a lightbrown head. Quite too unbalanced taste in my opinion; lots of sweetness with surprisingly much taste of alcohol hitting through. Some roasty tones.A disappointment for me.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from SB 150109.
Deep dark ruby with weak beige head.
Heavily roasted coffee and caramelle in the nose with hints of old apples and figs.
Very sweet full palate with some port, dried plums and dark chocolate.
A very nice sippin' ale on a cold and dark winter evening.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smakt hjemme fra flaske. Skum og farge er ikke det sterkeste med denne ølen, men smaken er veldig bra. Fin balansert smak med hint av mørk sjokolade og karamell.
