3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aromas of hay, raisins, spice and cola. An opaque dark brown pour with a robust, but short lived tan head, producing fine lacing. The overall taste is fragely sweet. Cola, Belgina yeast, with hints of raisins. Medium body with medium carbonation. Carbonated mouthfeel. Overall, enjoyable but not necessarily outstanding.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
500 ml capped stoneware bottle, with swingtop, at home @10°C
large and lasting off-white to beige head. Beer is completely dark.
Malty with hints of caramel and chocolate aroma. Balance between sweetness and hoppyness is just a tick on the sweet side, but still very balanced. Very good beer, would definitely buy again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours cloudy dark coffee brown with airy but stable light tan head. Clear aroma of fruit and flowers, with notes of malt. Sweet, malty flavour, with fruity and caramellish notes and mild hoppy touches. Bitter finish. Reasonable but I have tasted better beers of this style. Way too expensive, at least where I bought it.

Very dark brown colour, large and lasting off-white to beige head. Moderately malty and slightly spicy aroma, hints of caramel. Malty flavour, hints of caramel, mild spices and brown bread, but not as sweet as many other Belgians.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I was lucky enough to get the lower priced 75cl glass bottle version instead of the pottery 50cl one. Dark red brown colour. Dried fruits in the aroma, raisins, etc. Flavour is generally quite sweet and caramelesque but there’s a background woody, nutty dryness to keep it in check.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Belgian Beer Bar in Zhuhai for $220 CNY. Pours opaque brown. Huge tan, foamy head. Clean, but dusty yeast aroma. Flavor is belgium hay. Very clean danky malt syrup, purified. Strong flavor but goes down too smooth, esp. in Zhuhai.
