3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured pretty much black with a large bubbly light-tan head. Interesting aroma of roasted malts, figs, and fruit with yeast. Taste is smooth and roasted with a lot of fruity notes. Finish has lots of figs and some fruity yeast flavors. A tad over-carbonated. Taste has raisins as well. Overall pretty good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2012 500mL ceramic swingtop bottle poured hazy brown with big beige head and nice lace. Aroma of roasted malt. Taste is of roasted malt and nuts. Body is medium as is the carbonation. Is it just me or do beers taste better from ceramics?

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle, shared with my brother-in-law. Medium amber brown, average tan head. Aroma is sweet and cola-ish, kind of odd and uninviting. Sweet caramel flavour, watery, sugary and simple. No yeast, no fruit, no spice, just blah. I don’t really get this brew, especially given that their blonde ale was pretty decent.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
16 oz. swing top ceramic bottle. Pours a light beige, lasting head, over a clear, reddish brown (SRM 25) body...nose is heavy malts with raisin, fig, brown sugar...taste is raisin, fig toffee/caramel finishing with a hint of allspice...mouth feel medium, carbonation high. This is almost a light take on a Dubbel, but it brushes the Biere de Garde also. It is not particularly distinguished. BJCP 7/3/12/4/6

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours dark brown with a huge thick long lasting tan head. Aroma of caramel malts yeast, spices (cloves, nutmeg) and raisins. Flavor is subdued some when cold, but the body filled in as it warmed up. Super bubbly all the way. Flavor is reminiscent of a Belgian Dubbel. Dark fruits and malt with a very slight sour note on the finish.

I decided to pour this into a goblet to open it up. Once poured the head disapated almost intently, leaving a small 1/8 inch layer of beautiful head. The beer is a dark rubyish color, or as I call it, mahogany. The aroma from the glass is of toffee and caramel. The flavor of this Dubbel is strong at first, and then it mellows into its greatness. There is a very light amount of lacing with this beer as well. This Dubble is really nice especially when comparing it to several others that I have tried. After a few sips, my mouth feels clean, as if I had just drank water...this is not a bad thing, as the flavor of the beer is still lingering.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Has a strong, malty aroma with a spicy undertone and a hint of apple. It pours a semi-transparent mahogany with a thin and not too persistent light tan head. Flavor is malty with an undertone of apple and a hint of caramel. Texture is smooth yet subtly fizzy, and it leaves a fairly persistent soft tingle and just a whisper of sweetness.
