3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice Belgian ale that just gets better and better from sip to sip. A dark, top fermented abbey, with a high fermentation process. It is reasonably strong with a gentle flavor of caramel malt. The bittersweet taste characterizes this beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a nice red hue. Aroma is sweet malts. Notes of dark fruit, bread, apple, and some yeast come out. On the palate it is highly carbonated, but super smooth. A very good mouthfeel. The flavor brings out the dark fruit, finishing dry. Good, but nothing special.

Bottle pours deep copper with a khaki colored head. Aroma smells of wheat bread, oatmeal cookies, and some other fruit that I can’t quite put my finger on. Flavor shows the same with some caramel, nuts, and light oak. Overall body is soft, moderately sweet, and finishes lightly bitter.

05 bottle. Sweet malts caramel and sherry notes on the nose. Pours caramel amber with little to no head. Tart and funky with cidery flavors and caramelized malts. Its developing some sherry-like flavors as well, but is starting to go down.
