Pours a deep hazy brown with alomst no head. Aromas of roasted malts, vanila and maple.. Flavors of light chocolate, and a sweetness that lingers on the palate.

Pours a deep transparent ruby read with a full, rocky, tan head. Light on the carbonation. The aroma is bitter, spicy and of over-ripe fruit. The taste is somewhat one-dimensional, with a slightly sweet start and a lasting bitter finish. The mouthfeel is watery with some effervescence and a lasting bite. A pleasant warming feeling as it goes down.

Porued deep brown with thin white head...smelled musty and sweet...taste is watery but sweet with raisins...yeasty too...not good yeast though...cloying raisin sweetness in the finish...I like the jug though...

Bottle. Dark chestnut reddish hue with light-tan bigbubbled head. Phenolic aroma. Flavor is dry with some chocolate and slight roast. Heavily carbonated and a bit thinbodied. As I poured the last glass, huge, sticky lumps of sediment came into the glass. I like my yeast, but not in these excessive, disgusting looking, quantities.

Brown reddish with a big beige head. Malty aroma with a dark fruit sweetness and a light yeasty note. Light fruity and spicy flavor with a dry finish.

Sweet malty/yeasty nose provides mellow earthiness envelopping a floral, dark fruit medley accentuated by tartish chocolatey roastiness. Body is dark brown, hazy developping a diminishing off-white head. Almost surprisingly thin in mouth, not very belgian in that aspect. The flavors are sparse, losing themselves in a soft breeze that was too strong for them. Very thin, moderately high carbonation. Short finish, might have been a bit old I guess though no date was indicated, but even fresh, there are a bit too many better examples to go and pay the premium price for a special bottle again.

500 ml ceramic bottle. Pretty swish looking packaging. Dark brown orange-tan beer with a thin tan head. Aroma is of brown sugar, honey, toasted rye bread. Fairly simple, light spiciness but the yeast is generally subdued. Light plumminess but also some metallic flavours. Some rumminess as well. Body is a bit thin and it’s fairly bitter for the style. OK, but not great.

Dark reddish brown color with an off-white head. I get a whole lot of yeast and not much of anything else from the aroma. There’s some sweet malt in the flavor but I mainly get an unpleasant yeast flavor and some metallic bitterness. Just a hint of nuts in there too. Pretty bland stuff.
