Per usual, the St. Sebastiaan series comes in a handsome, swingtop bottle, but...
...I rated this straight down the middle since it’s such a bland, uninteresting, but unoffensive beer. It pours a near carbonation free brown body with a wispy, large bubble head that soons pops into nothingness. The aroma is faint - some caramel malt. The watery body delivers a light caramel malt and dark candy flavor. This is all right, but doesn’t merit repeating.

Recieved in a ceramic cask- nice pop when it opened. Great head when poured when I noticed something- bubbles. What was I thinking? If I wanted Champagne, I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT CHAMPAGNE. Waited for the carbonation to disappear, good taste after that happened. Went down smooth with hints of it actually tasting like beer. Some people like BEERPAGNE, but I don’t.

7/12/10. 16oz flip top. Dirty, musty, old homebrew aroma. Huge sweet caramelly taste. Dirty and not too pleasant. Skip it.

"Poured a cloudy brown no head at all. Aroma was of strong brown sugar. Flavor was unimpressive, watered down brown sugar and caramel. Some awful metallic aftertaste. not good. "

750’ glass bottle. Brewed 2001, BB 8/04. Nice brown colour, pours with a huge off-white head. Head melts down quickly. Low in CO². Light malty-fruity aroma. Lighter body than expected. Flavor is sweet with toffee, coca, chocolate and burned toast. Short dry finish with some alcoholic aftertaste. Seems too old already.
