BEERGUY007 (168), Scotia, New York, USA Feb 22, 2008 WOW! I love this one. Cermaic 16 ounce jug, Pours very dark brown, almost black. I didn’t get a lot of head and what was there disappeared very quickly. Sweet smelling and tasting. fruity, raisins. Good beer, I will get this one again. I tasted it at about 55 degrees, which helped I think, this one shouldn’t be too cold, you won’t taste anything.
beerguy101 (3419), Newark, California, USA Jul 15, 2008 This Belgian Ale pours a deep brown color from a 50cl ceramic flip top bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head, with good retention. The aroma is fruity and yeasty, with a touch of caramel malts. A medium bodied Belgian Ale. The malts are caramel and fruity, but not that sweet. Kind of subtle and subdued fruit flavors. The hops are slightly spicy and earthy. Nice balance. A very drinkable Belgian ale, kind of atypical as there is not a lot of sweetness. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. Bigmmartin (126), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jul 6, 2008 Bottle thanks to Woodsman52. Pours a dark brown caramel color with a fizzy white head. Flavor is somewhat bland, but you can pick up on caramel and malt. Has a nice mouthfeel with well balanced carbonation. Crisp clean finish. 1_2many (124), Ohio, USA Jul 6, 2008 Bottle. Very dark brown with a good tan head. Aroma is nice with malty caramel dark fruit and some yeast. However the flavor is disappointing. Quite bland in fact. Some sweetness at first with some bitterness, but it is very muted and unimpressive. Not bad but definitely a little bland on the tongue. Rather smooth and easy to drink though. For a standard belgian ale this is okay. spagyetti (68), Puyallup, Washington, USA Jun 20, 2008 Bottle. I perfered this over the Golden version. Very nice with deep undertones. To be enjoyed with friends on a Sunday or after hours. Nice finish. gunnfryd (2659), Kristiansand, Norway Jun 17, 2008 Bottle @ Maria tasting. Red brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted, caramel, spices. Flavour is roasted, alcohol, malt, caramel, spices, sweetness. Nice beer
