Bottle @ Home. Pours golden with a huge white head, lots of lively bubbles. Aroma of malt, light grainy, belgian yeast, light honey, sweet fruit. Flavor is light sweet, malty, yeast, candy sugar, light spice, light tartness, fruit, little alcohol. Medium body, very high carbonation, light warming alcohol. 110415

Very faint opalescent golden colour with a rocky off white head. Metallic, straw, malty aromas. Light lively, slick texture full bodied. Malty sweetness with a subtle hop bitterness dominate the palate providing a short-medium finish. Not much to it actually, actually a bot boozy.

Bottle from old notes. Pours a hazy yellow/gold color with some floaties and a small white head that lasts. The aroma had pale malts, fruity, peach, sweet malts. The flavor has sweet candi sugar, pale malts and a spicy finish. Medium bodied, pretty average beer. The container was the best part.

Dec. 28, 2014; packaged in a weighty ceramic stein; tumbler glass. Golden pour (go figure) with shallow head & moderate lacing. Full aroma of overripe fruit & malt. Slightly sour; good bitterness, with some astringency. Not a world-class Belgian, perhaps, but quite enjoyable nonetheless - would have this again.

Gyllengul vätska med tjock fluffigt skum. Jästig doft med peppar och örter. Torr, stram smak med hög neutral beska. Lite kluven men lutar åt bra öl.

Pour is a hazy blonde with a large white head, Aroma is slightly fruity with a bit of pale malt in the backround. Flavor is super carbonated with a bit of fruit again and some wet paper bag malt. Finish is a sweetish fruit with more of a dull malt to follow. Nothing really good but it has a bit of fresh fruit and a cool ceramic stein you can save for future use.

Tripel-style ’kruikenbier’ by Sterkens, peach blond with fruity and lightly malty sweetness next to a certain yeastiness and mild herbal hops in the finish; I was a bit bothered by the thin, almost watery mouthfeel though, an ale this strong should have a lot more body. Not impressed.
