Tall, foamy white head, which quickly reduced to lace. It has a very strong, fruity aroma, with caramelly malt; rather sweet. It has a rich malt flavor, fruit, cookies, and spices which are probably added. It is pretty reasonably hopped, though they do not stand out. Behind all of this is a very Belgian yeast character. Well- carbonated, medium bodied, though surprisingly refreshing. Ok, but not really special, and the cool bottle is a rip-off! jgree44 (14), Louisiana, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Bottle (750ml). Poured sparkling golden orange with a large frothy, off-white head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of floral hops with lemon zest, pears, apple pie, cinnamon, coriander and some straw. Flavor was of sweet bready malts with a very light bitterness, lemons, dried apricots, candy sugar, cinnamon, cloves and light notes of coriander. Very well masked alcohol content. Medium bodied with lively carbonation, a dry mouthfeel and a decent length finish. Far to sweet for my liking – not nearly bitter or spicy enough to balance itself out IMO. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 16, 2009 Bottle. Golden with an almost out of control white head. Very much my kind of thing. Obvious Belgian yeast and nicely sweet and malty. Caramel, little floral hop with the yeasty biscuit like flavour made it a little fruity and vanilla like. I liked it a lot. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Appearance: Pours a clear, bright, straw-colored body with a thin, white head.
Smell: Slight maltiness paired with notes of flowers, stale spices, booze, and a fair whiff of yeast.
Taste: Soft pale maltiness with sweet tastes of table sugar and honey. Encroaching alcohol character nearly from the get-go. A tad phenolic. Herbal, floral hop character with a medium-low bitterness. Touch of spice. Drying, effervescent finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Highly carbonated.
Drinkability: Pass. At best, it’s a mediocre Belgian Strong, but, then again, I’ve never been impressed by the St. Sebastiaan line. armando629 (975), Budapest, Hungary

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Pours a transparent golden with a thin wispy lacing white head. Aroma of sweet biscuity doughy Belgian malt and a touch of floral spice. Starts with a good fullness and sweet biscuity maltiness well-balanced with a good Belgian yeasty presence before a drier toasty finish. An enjoyable and true to style beer.
