Bottle (BB Jun/2011). Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), lightly to moderately yeasty (cobwebs, basement), with light notes of lemon peel and honey. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, yeasty. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic, slightly metallic. A bit too yeasty (and not exactly a very attractive strain) to let the bright hoppy and fruity characters sing. Not the cleanest aftertaste. There is promise in this recipe, though.

Ceramic bottle. BB 08/06/11. Aroma of malt and candy sugar with a bit of stone fruit. Slightly hazy golden color with a firm, lasting head. Thin to medium bodied. Starts with sweet fruit, yeast spice, and a touch of warmth. The finish is a touch of clove, lingering sweetness, and a touch of bitter. Quite nice.

From a 16 oz. bottle with a stopper got in Coralville. Teh body was a slightly hazy dark gold with a long lasting and dense white head. This left lots of lacing on the glass. The aroma is rich fruit with some peach schnapps. There is also some dandelions along with some light sweat. The taste has some pancakes with dried apricots. There is also a little bit of honey. The finish is a little boozy with some hazelnuts. The mouthfeel is fairly thick and sticky. This is decent, but I would like a little more flavor.

sweet spice. Bottle work of art. Surprisingly refreshing summer drink. Yeast and cream but doesn’t seem a triple. Better than expected and popular with mates. Fruit, honey, suitably noticeably carbonated. Medium-light mouthfeel, lace and soap bubbles on top of golden yellow.

This Belgian Strong Ale pours a golden yellow color from a 50cl ceramic bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. A medium bodied BSA. The malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of peaches and apricots flavors, with a nice roasty malt backbone. Fruit flavors are sweet but not cloying. Nice beer, but there is nothing that really stands out here, its like 100s of other beer just like this. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Bottle. Caffe Volo. Golden body, very small white head diminishes quickly. Alcoholic sweet malty aroma. Flavour is inappropriately over-run by the alcohol, with barely a glimpse of the underlying malt. Average palate. Disappointing.

Ceramics Bottle 75 cl. St. Sebastiaan Grand Cru. Large fizzy white head that was mostly lasting. Slightly cloudy pale yellow colour. Aroma was yeast, citrus, perfume, spice, pepper, liquorice, caramel. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and a light alcoholic texture. Flavour was balanced between the sweet and a mix of light bitter and acidic notes. Finish was sweet with again light hints of acidic and some spicy aftertaste.
