Terrific rich golden ale. Very indiginous to Belgium. Wonderful notes of honey. Golden ales like this are underated but like Leffe and Prarie Path (which this beats on both accounts) I have always enjoyed the rich malty flavor of the style. groovinhigh (170), Asheville, North Carolina, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Mar 7, 2007 Pours a hazed tawny yellow w/ a full, semi creamy froth that slowly reduces to a creamy clump. Aroma is tropical w/ milky citrus rind and granite. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers brings out a cotton like texture. This golden ale is one of the more strongly flavored w/ tons of mouth watering citrus milk. Theres a briskness that really appeals to me. So strong yet beholds finesse. Flavors of citrus milk, vanilla, and only slight banana intertwined w/ a creamy tropical collage of nunces to include pineapple, kiwi, passion fruit, peach, pear, and apple. It reminds me of a protien fruit drink I used to get at the health food store (gentle strength in tempe). The finish is bittered w/ a defined peach pit component. Overall: This brew rocks. Perfect balance and very gratifying. Highly recommended. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 5, 2005 Semi-cloudy pour with some chunks. Malty aroma for a Belgian. Slightly sour butterscotch flavor. Decent head/lacing, but not too impressive. Definitely above average for a beer, yet middling to lower average for Belgian.
