Overall I was unimpressed. Definately not a bad beer, but did not seem to be enough malts or hops to overcome the taste of alcohol. If I was not in Georgia I would have sworn this thing was 10%.

Bottle. Amber beer with no head. Sweet malt and yeast aroma with candi sugar and bubblegum. Low carbonation. Fruity esters with spicey yeast and sweet malt flavors. Nothing special. Carbonation is a problem.

Courtesy darkguardian. Pours a lightly yeasty gold color, with a small white head. Smells of big sweet malts, heavy honey and caramel, and some citrus fruit. Very sweet Belgian candy sugar as well. The flavor is monster caramel and honey as well. Almost overly so. A little funked out and bitter in the finish. This just seems overdone and unbalanced. Drinkable, but unimpressive.

the beer pours a yellowish brown with no head. It has the aroma of bubble gum beligan yeast and a bit of pear and apple. It also has a little bit of bubble gum taste with a bit of honey on the palate and a bit of hay. A little undercarbonated.

Thisted tasting. Courtesy of Fonefan. Comes as Grand Cru. It is golden with a white, creamy head. The aroma has notes of perfumed malt, cabbage and yeast. The flavour has sweetness and a citrussy bitterness and notes of malt, light fruit and yeast. It is surprisingly thin-bodied, a bit of a disappointment.

Appearance: Pours a clear, bright, straw-colored body with a thin, white head. Smell: Slight maltiness paired with notes of flowers, stale spices, booze, and a fair whiff of yeast. Taste: Soft pale maltiness with sweet tastes of table sugar and honey. Encroaching alcohol character nearly from the get-go. A tad phenolic. Herbal, floral hop character with a medium-low bitterness. Touch of spice. Drying, effervescent finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Highly carbonated. Drinkability: Pass. At best, it’s a mediocre Belgian Strong, but, then again, I’ve never been impressed by the St. Sebastiaan line.
