16oz Bottle. The pour was a clear light golden yellow with an average (1-2 finger) white creamy head that had great retention and superb sheets of lacing. The aroma was of a light grain malt and a musty sweet Belgian yeast with notes of banana, green apple, citrus (lemon), bubblegum and coriander. The taste was malty and lightly sweet with a touch of apple and a hint of banana early on, with a nice fruity ester creeping in along with a bold yeasty presence and just a bit of spice at the end. The flavor lasted only a short time proceeding the swallow with the fruity yeast taste lingering for a little while, before fading away entirely. Mouthfeel was light in body with a watery yet mildly dry texture and a strong lively carbonation. Overall a light flavorful Abbey Ale with a great drinkability, which could be dangerous considering the somewhat higher ABV...

Gyllengul vätska med tjock fluffigt skum. Jästig doft med peppar och örter. Torr, stram smak med hög neutral beska. Lite kluven men lutar åt bra öl.

Pour is a hazy blonde with a large white head, Aroma is slightly fruity with a bit of pale malt in the backround. Flavor is super carbonated with a bit of fruit again and some wet paper bag malt. Finish is a sweetish fruit with more of a dull malt to follow. Nothing really good but it has a bit of fresh fruit and a cool ceramic stein you can save for future use.

Tripel-style ’kruikenbier’ by Sterkens, peach blond with fruity and lightly malty sweetness next to a certain yeastiness and mild herbal hops in the finish; I was a bit bothered by the thin, almost watery mouthfeel though, an ale this strong should have a lot more body. Not impressed.

Ik heb het niet als golden gedronken maar als grand cru. Een lekker biertje met een vlot wegdrinkende smaak

Bottiglia, l’etichetta riportava Grand Cru. Colore ambrato con una schiuma fine e poco persistente, si sente malto e qualche nota floreale, meglio in bocca con un buon corpo e un leggerissimo amaro.

Bottle in Santa Barbara.

Pours light golden with an abundant white head. Nose is slightly sour. The flavor is peppery with a grain alcohol thing, plenty of malt sweetness, prickly mouthfeel, not very pleasant. Simply not a very good Belgian strong.

Loved the bottle and the appearance of the beer, the taste and the smell were also quite good, but overall - not really interesting. Just a simple good beer

Bottle (750ml) as "St. Sebastiaan Grand Cru". Clear yellow golden with a nice white head. Aroma - yeasty and fruity with some light peaches and apricots notes . Sweet, with overripe fruits, some spices and yeast, quite mellow. Medium-bodied with oily texture. Drinkable.
