COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
See www.st-stefanus.be

Taste- A great blend of malt, yeast and fruit Palate- Medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Overall- A really enjoyable and well crafted Belgian Strong Pale Ale.

2015/04/23 - Pours a clear, orange-gold colour with a thin, fizzy white head that lingers. Aroma is bread, cereal, mild caramel and faint citrus. Taste is cereal, mild candied sugar, mild citrus and some yeast. Mouthfeel is light to medium with slightly sharp carbonation and a slightly sweet finish. I usually like this style, but I was not a huge fan of this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at the White Lady. Appearance - golden with steady bubbles and a lovely fluffy head. Nose - lemon pith and herbs. Creamy. Getting a cheesecake note. Taste - candied lemon peel. Again creamy and again cheesecake. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - complex and interesting.

Golden color with an off-white with good retention and nice lacework. Aroma has notes of bread, some yeasty, mild malty. Flavor is slightly sweet, yeasty notes, alcohol very good hidden with a good maltiness. Mild sweetness in the final with medium duration and some fruity hints.

Riktigt trevlig.

330ml bottle from Tesco - Probably a bit of a hostile rater to this one, paid £3 a bottle from the same people who could give you a big bottle of Leffe for the same, so expected so much more from this. Bit of a gusher to start, clear yellow, massive white head. Nose had a bit of wheat in it, a touch of clove there too. Taste is relatively fine, it has a certain rustic quality, but other than that - unspectacular. Gimme a Duvel over this any day.

Pours orange gold with a medium white head. Aroma is earthy, citrus, floral, bread and yeast. Taste is sweet with some tartness, mostly sweet though. Medium bodied, smooth with good carbonation for a crisp finish.
