See www.st-stefanus.be

A beautiful beer to have on Christmas Day! Personally signed brew from the monk brewer on April 2012! Golden triple with a nice white head and good lacing. Lemon aroma with a nice floral finish. Thanks to my brother in law Steve for buying this one for us! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle shared by Pete- thanks again, buddy. This wound up being the last beer we ever shared together. Pours a somewhat cloudy light gold color with a finger of white head. Notes of bready and doughy malts, straw, subtle spices and herbs, grass, pear, and light citrus. Light-medium bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and a doughy mouthfeel. Yeast-forward. Solid, if unremarkable, Belgian ale that I’ll always remember anyway.

750 ml bottle, 9C. Very nice looking bottle says at a month past cellar release it will be well fresh and fruity, but if I wait 18 months it will be totally complex and aromatic - handy info if true. Gold with a white head. Doughy aroma with oranges, hay, toast, a little cheese, pears, pepper. Sweet hay, light sugar, pears, oranges, a little spice, doughy yeast. Some lingering herbal notes.A very yeasty blond. Shruggarific.

Malty, a general taste of cakes, toffee banoffee pie, niceness. This was a real shocker was not expecting this to be that good, kind of slutty

Bottle, thanks a lot Tim! Amber, lively carbonation, rocky white head. Light musty, spicy aroma. Chewy toast, strong almonds, raspberries, bananas, light barn. Nut cake retronasal. Medium body, dry sparkly mouthfeel. Pleasant drink.

Nose is Belgian yeast, strawberry, peach, grass. Taste is honey, caramel, hay, grass, grains leading to plum, herbs and a little pepper in the too short finish. Mouthfeel is slick. It’s a perfectly acceptable Belgian blond, but hard to get excited about and there are many more better examples.
