COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
See www.st-stefanus.be

Bottle at the Spade Oak, Bourne End. Hazy yellow-amber with a thick white head. Light banana, honey roast ham, a lot of bready yeast and a hint od metal. Generally on the sweet side although just a hint of bitterness from some long-dead hops. Stereotypical Belgian ale; bit of a Leffe clone albeit with a little less character. Matched our sticky pork sharing platter surprisingly well though.

Bottle at the cruis ship Vilimg Gabriella. Solid off white head that stays a long time Light opaque solid golden color. Big phenolic aroma. Big carbonation and fine typical beögisn taste and a big bitterness for a blond. More a sipping berr than a thirst quencher.

Bottle, brewery aged from 2012. Pours a cloudy dirty orange with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet fruits, alcohol, apple, perfume, sweet malt. Flavor of sweet fruit, apple skins, raisin, sweet malt, yeast, peppery spices and a slight alcohol kick in the finish. A touch heavy for 7%. Simple, but tasty. 7/4/8/4/14 [3.7/5]

Pours a deep golden orange with an off-white head. The smell is orange, yeast, candi sugar, spice. The taste is spice, candi sugar, some caramel, yeast ending dry and spicy. The body is light/medium with active carbonation. Pretty nice Belgian ale.

750 ml bottle of this "blonde ale" served in a Porter Bar goblet. Bottling date of 7-2012. Clear copper-amber body with a fizzy head that has limited retention and leaves very little lacing. Smells rather malt dominant for style, but the flavor is yeasty and fruity, like most blondes, and seems to be just marginally more malty than average. It is also a bit less spicy than the average blonde. Lively carbonation in a near medium body.
