Bottle, bought @Saveur Bière. Pours clear pale golden with a small, creamy white head. Aroma has sweet malts, sugar, doughy, light citrus. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has good malts, light doughy, mild sugar, mild astringent with some apple and citric acid notes. Lingering, quite bitter finish.

1700th rating on this website won’t be a big want... This one I had for personal reasons. Very decent brew, but I do like most of Van Steenberge brews. Nothing exceptionnal, but mostly decent to good.

Trübe goldgelbe Farbe, geringe weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, fruchtig, getreidig. Geschmack sehr malzig, süß getreidig, unspektakuläres Bier!

75cl bottle. Pours hazy yellow, big white head. Malty overall, quite sweet and yeasty. Not bad persé but not refreshing in any way either.

Big bottle from Surdyk’s. Cellar release 11-2012. Consumed during Match Madness with commonshawn. Champagne like appearance with significant effervescence. Golden with a half finger of head. Aroma is Belgian yeast and slight sweetness. Minimal. Mouthfeel is bubbly and tangy. Taste has citrus, spice notes, and alcohol elements...maybe a little metallic. Belgian yeast once again. Reminds me of a tripel but a thinner body. A nice overall drinking experience.

Big bottle from surdyks with commonmac. Cellar release Nov 2012. Gold with very bubbly white head. Champagne effervescence. Tripel type nose. Crisp and light yeast. Spice, slight banana, Belgian yeast, pleasant grassiness. Very bubbly. Nice afternoon beer.

This kind of is the Augustijn Grand Cru, but in a different bottle for the American market. Dense foam, amber colour, nice and smooth drink. But nothing spectacular.

Cellar release date of 10/2012, 2 years old. Pours very slightly hazy golden color, with a 1-finger off-white head. Moderate bubbling along the wall of the glass. Crisp, fruity aroma, with a light yeasty note. Body is medium-to-full, and just a touch syrupy. Crisp, with a dry finish. Earthy yeast flavor lies beneath a crisp, fruity flavor that was reminiscent of apple.
