COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 3MONTS beer : A wonderful return to nature, with its flavour of yesteryear, this is a beer that was drawn from the wooden metal-circled barrels to fill so many mugs in our Flanders bars! Its bitterness comes from our hop fields scattered throughout the region. Brewed by infusions, it is an old-fashioned rising beer made with strong and hearty Flemish hops. Fermented using top yeasts, like the barrel brewers of yore and clamped like bonderised barrels.

Crystal clear, yellow to golden with medium head that dissipates. Aroma is candy, light sweet malt, sugar, mainly light malts. Nice but a bit one dimensional. Taste is medium sweet, alcohol notes, light herbal and floral notes, some fruitiness(white grapes), some light citrucy notes too. Some bitterness at the finish. Medium body, light to medium carbonation. A bit one dimensional in general but decent brew.

Pours a light clear golden colour with a white head. Slightly sour aroma but quite a sharp bitter taste.

0,7 l bottles at the Olivarius hotel in Conflans. Apperance: Allmost clear yellow colour with a hint of hazyness with a pillowy light creamy white head, which leaves some lacing.. Aroma: Light malts, Grass, Straw, light citrus and floral hints with quite some yeast. Taste: Moderate sweet,Light malt backbone, some lemon and grass with quite some yeast, alcohol and a odd ok herbal notes. Good bitterness. Slick texture, medium body, below average carbonation. Good Beer de Garde, maybe they yeast is slightly to dominant.

Whiff of yeast. Golden pils like colour. Tiny bubbles foam head. Tastes this typical metallic trait of cheap pils. Carbonation is shy but abundant. After a few sips its alcohol content is dominant. Mouthfeel is ok. Could quench thirst ok but not worth more.

Bottle in a hotel while in France with Susan. Pours a pale gold with a white creamy head. Aroma is earthy, yeasty, malty with some grassy / flowery hops, light zesty citrus. Finishes dry. Really nice beer. Picked up at a random grocery store.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2015 My everyday beer, perfect for warming up before a cold evening or a party! Good French bière de garde although the alcohol taste is a little bit too strong.

Dark yellow colour with a pillowy light creamy white head. Aromas of grass, straw, barnyard and dome light citrus notes develop underpinned by some maltiness. Light effervescent with a slick texture and medium body. A good balance between sweet and hoppy bitterness. Medium finish and an excellent companion for dome creamy cheeses.

Une bière de type belge basique, au gout d’alcol trop marqué à mon gout. Un petit gout de noisette mais pas de quoi se damner. A boire quand il n’y a vraiment rien d’autre.
