The 3MONTS beer : A wonderful return to nature, with its flavour of yesteryear, this is a beer that was drawn from the wooden metal-circled barrels to fill so many mugs in our Flanders bars! Its bitterness comes from our hop fields scattered throughout the region. Brewed by infusions, it is an old-fashioned rising beer made with strong and hearty Flemish hops. Fermented using top yeasts, like the barrel brewers of yore and clamped like bonderised barrels.

(bottle) clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of grapes, pears and dusty pale malts, with a light touch of physalis, some vanilla, yeast and gletschereis. flavour is mostly bread dough, raisins and caramel, with lots of floral hops, more pear, some light fudge and a touch of alcohol in the semi-dry finish. heavy-bodied with lively carbonation.

Rating #1178 - 14.07.2014 - Bottle from 7 Degrees Liquor. My first technical beer of this style (according to RB). Cork was unbelievably difficult to extract. Not much carbonation. Pours a clear golden. Lots of yeasty esters on the nose, a bit of funk on the palate - need to re-rate as I believe this bottle was past prime.

Pours light gold with fluffy white lingering head. Aroma is hay, bready yeast, sweet honey like malt, light pepper and spice. Taste is pleasingly mild and smooth for a strong beer dry and bitter on the finish. Nicely carbonated throughout. Very nice

Pours a bright gold with everlasting shaving cream thick white head. Moderately light spicy yeast phenols and honey on the nose. Flavours are of honey malts, spicy phenols, and mineral water lifted by the very high carbonation. Light body and clean, dry finish.
