Commercial Description:
The 3MONTS beer : A wonderful return to nature, with its flavour of yesteryear, this is a beer that was drawn from the wooden metal-circled barrels to fill so many mugs in our Flanders bars! Its bitterness comes from our hop fields scattered throughout the region. Brewed by infusions, it is an old-fashioned rising beer made with strong and hearty Flemish hops. Fermented using top yeasts, like the barrel brewers of yore and clamped like bonderised barrels.

Pale golden with small white head - some malt and hops in there somewhere, but main thing here was an alcoholic sting

750 mL Bottle sampled Dec 26, 2009. Pale gold body with a fast-settling soapy head. Grainy aroma with an innuendo of caramel and grassy with innuendos of apple and earth and a certain sharpness about it. Bold rich flavor of sweet malts with accents of nuts and hay, butterscotch expresses in the aftertaste and lingers gently in the finish. A sipping beer.

750ml bottle shared at a Romjuls party. Lightly golden body with a very slight haze. Tiny, white head. Fresh aroma of fruits. Some spiced lemon in the taste profile mingled with hints of tart fruits. Lighter oily palate. Masked alcohol. Fizzy. Paired quite well with the pickled herring (Tromsø, 27.12.2009).

750 ml bottle. Finland.
Clear golden colour with small white frothy head. Fruity, slighty hoppy aroma. Grassy hoppy flavour with hints of yeast and fruits. Warming alcohol. Not very impressive. Could live without.

Bottle, 75cl. Very pale on the pour without being attractive with it, with a poor head, and no lacing. Very lagerish aroma, and very cereally on the tongue, despite the high ABV. Not a particularly impressive brew.

Poured out a very light yellow gold, thick creamy white cap, excellent 360 degree lacing that is a bit slippery. Smells similar to a Euro lager, some yeast, some strong smell that hints at leather. The taste seems based on a Euro lager with a hard spice, nice quiet alcohol, Odd yeast. A bit hot. More alcohol now, too much alcohol for this. Nice interesting mild yeast burn. Highly carbonated, dry, light interesting spice on the finish, some burn. It’s a mild spicy / yeast / musty Euro lager mix. Highly anticipated opening, very disappointing overall. Booooo.
