COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 3MONTS beer : A wonderful return to nature, with its flavour of yesteryear, this is a beer that was drawn from the wooden metal-circled barrels to fill so many mugs in our Flanders bars! Its bitterness comes from our hop fields scattered throughout the region. Brewed by infusions, it is an old-fashioned rising beer made with strong and hearty Flemish hops. Fermented using top yeasts, like the barrel brewers of yore and clamped like bonderised barrels.

750 ml corked and clamped bottle. Pours clear gold with a large white soapy head with good retention. Aroma consists of barnyard funk, banana, earth, doughy bread. Taste is sweet and savory, like fresh-mown hay; finishes dryly. Not bad.

Bottle at the Craven Arms, shared with Gurd and Roberto. Photos on my fone reminded me to rate this. Lagery style beer, with some tartness and very mild funk. Robust, slight pepper. Quite good I thought. Certainly better than Leffe, who’s glass I supped this from.

On tap. Labeled "3 Monts: Classic Golden Ale", ABV labeled 8.8%. Perfectly clear golden color. Thin white head. Nice loose splotches of lace. Bigger body. Smooth, lightly soft lighter carbonation. More dry in the finish. Earthy, hoppy flavor. Some wood, light spice, grains. Nice moderate bitter taste, light spiciness, light sweet. Tasty biere de garde.

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a clear golden color with a small off white head. The aroma has sweet fruits, honey, floral notes, grass and yeast. The flavor is less sweet with more dry mild bitterness than the nose indicated. Decent drinker, but the nose was not my favorite.

750ml bottle. Filtered gold, big head with large bubble, looks like a very good lager. Aroma has like of a floral sweetness. Taste is very light, especially for the ABV, floral, citrus, some noble hops. Rather fizzy. Overall, it is kind of a super lager.

750ml bottle from some grocery store in Nice, France. Pours a crystal clear, golden-yellow colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is grainy and lightly sweetened pale malts with a light bready note, a light grass, and a few floral hints. Flavor is better. Lightly sweetened, grainy pale malts with touches of honey-bread, some florals, a light grass throughout, and a few fruit notes. Finishes clean and dry with a light bitterness before leaving a fairly lengthy aftertaste with just a slight alcohol warmth. Medium, smooth body and a lively, moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent beer. Not overly complex, but clean, balanced, and enjoyable enough.

Pours golden with two fingers of thick white foam head. Smells of flowers and yeast. Tastes of yeast, grass, and very mild bitter. Nice carbonation and is very refreshing. Alcohol is very well incorporated. Delicious beer.

Has a flowery yeasty aroma. Pours a golden yellow. Sweet citrus taste, with a low bitter aftertaste.

Flowery nose with a bit of fruit. Clear and apple coloured. Quite dry with the tiniest hint of caramel. Tastes refreshing, which means you’ll be tempted to drink faster than is wise, I’d bet.

75cl bottle. Pours a pale golden yellow colour, big foamy white head and aroma of biscuity malt, fruity grain, yeast. Taste is very sweet biscuity malt, caramel, toffee, grain, some tart fruitiness with hay & grassy notes and a slightly metallic earthy hoppy bitterness. Creamy syrupy mouth feel, medium bodied, well carbonated, boozy warming dry bitter finish.
