Amber beer (8 % alc. / vol.) refermented in the bottle. A speciality beer brewed over lees in winter using the first malt and hops from the last harvest. Roasted malts give it its characteristic amber hue. Obtained by top fermentation, the "Biere Nouvelle" is characterised by fruity flavours and a good bite. Biere Nouvelle must be served with care (leaving behind the fine yeast sediment) at about 10°C. Available from February while stocks last in 750 ml bottles corked and stamped

Bottle@home Apperance: Golden yellow with a huge head that seems to last forever. Aroma: Wheat, Yeast, Spices, Honey, Malt. Flavor: Caramel, Hay, Bread, Hints of fruit, Spices. Palate: Lots of carbonation and a very refreshing feel to it. Goes down very easy. A very drinkable beer indeed. Because it not being overly sweet like some belgians i think this would do fine with some food. An interesting beer!

(Brassin 2000)Copper color, big light head, stays on until the end. Woody, spicy aroma. The beer tastes of wood, honey and warming alcohol.

750 ml bottle. 2006 edition. Big carbonation. Super thick head. The liquid was clear at the beginning and cloudy at the end. Yellow-orangy color. Caramel aroma. Nice flower and caramel taste. Good beer.

A much better BdG than 3 Monts from the same brewery as it has a lot more flavour to go along with the high alcohol content. Strong taste of malt, a bit of alcoholic heaviness and faint smoky aroma but well balanced and very drinkable.

Belle apparence, belle couleur dorée, belle broue qui dure. Une senteur discrète. Aucun arrière-goût. On perd rapidement le goût après les premières gorgées.

Aroma is yeast, wheat and some sweet vanilla and spices. Taste is alcohol, clean and wheat with yeast. Sounds horrible but it’s very nice and refreshing.

Light-bodied, slightly champagne-like. Overpriced!

750mL bottle, courtesy of ryan. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber. Aroma has citrus and a lot of herbal hops - mint, honey, candy. A bit of grass in there as well. Flavor has yeast, fruity citrus hops, and a pleasantly sweet herbal quality. Decent amount of carbonation, light body and somewhat bitter grapefruit peel finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy copper orange, with a small white head. Dry, fruity aroma with a musty apple character. The apples return in the dry, somewhat alcoholic flavor. Very much like calvados, in fact! Unfortunately, it’s a wee bit watery, and has an annoyingly bubbly, carbonated mouthfeel. Quite original nevertheless.
