COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amber beer (8 % alc. / vol.) refermented in the bottle. A speciality beer brewed over lees in winter using the first malt and hops from the last harvest. Roasted malts give it its characteristic amber hue. Obtained by top fermentation, the "Biere Nouvelle" is characterised by fruity flavours and a good bite. Biere Nouvelle must be served with care (leaving behind the fine yeast sediment) at about 10°C. Available from February while stocks last in 750 ml bottles corked and stamped

Bottled as Grande Reserve. Slightly cloudy orange color with a beautiful large white head. Aroma is sweet malt, yeast, hops and spice. Very soft body. Flavor is much the same as the aroma, however the hop/spice finish is more pronounced. A complex beer but exceedingly drinkable. Tres bien!

Bottle from systembolaget. The aroma is very nice, dry fruits with apricots, apples and pears being the most noticeable and a lighfulness to the aroma. It pours a darker orange with a slight haziness and a porous white head. The taste is nice, sweet and fruity. Oranges and tropical fruits in a nice mixture. A light body and easy on the palate with a slight sourness. This is, in my opinion, a solid and very enjoyable beer.

Bottle @ home. 2011 vintage. Pours an almost clear amber liquid. The head is white and quite fizzy, with medium to large bubbles that diminishes the head within a minute. Balanced sweet and malty aroma with caramel, toffee, roasted almonds, apricots, red apples, subtle vinous raisins, licorice, honey and biscuits. Highly carbonated, medium body. Taste is sweet with a drier finish. Flavor is moderately malty with toffee, honey, gooseberries, wood, leather, raisins and hints of herbs. Some unclothed cardboard lingering in the aftertaste. Although overall good, I had expected more, especially the flavor doesn’t live up to my expectations after smelling. The high carbonation level, i believe, masks some of the malt complexity in the flavor, it does get better if left resting for a while.

Hazy deep orange body with a lovely sticky white head and moderate lace. An almost champagne like aroma with hints of mustiness and anise(?). Wonderfully full bodied, much in the manner of a fine Belgian Trappist Ale. Very peppery, malty and a slight warm alcohol feel on the back of the throat. Amazing.

You can certainly tell that this beer was made ihn France because the aroma and flavor is reminescent of a red wine that is very rich in flavor. I problalbly make this rating because this is the first sampling of this style.

Aroma: hoppy, yeasty, pears, fresh hops. Musty but refreshing. Fresh.
Appearance: typical orange yellow lager but fluffy foam. Nice lacings.
Flavour: refreshing, hoppy, chemical, special, pears... Galia melon aftertaste.
Palate: delightful, even though it’s bubbly and acrid it is charming...

This I like. Golden with big white head. Aroma like is with wine, a fenomenon that also goes for the taste. There is sweetness, spices, lemon and a mild -yet firm - hoppy bitterness (especially in the finnish), along with plenty fruit. The mouthfeel is fiery and boubley. Now as I enter the last drops of the bottle I even think I feel some cinemon, but it might just be the alcohol talking. Horray!

A much better BdG than 3 Monts from the same brewery as it has a lot more flavour to go along with the high alcohol content. Strong taste of malt, a bit of alcoholic heaviness and faint smoky aroma but well balanced and very drinkable.

Bottle@home Apperance: Golden yellow with a huge head that seems to last forever. Aroma: Wheat, Yeast, Spices, Honey, Malt. Flavor: Caramel, Hay, Bread, Hints of fruit, Spices. Palate: Lots of carbonation and a very refreshing feel to it. Goes down very easy. A very drinkable beer indeed. Because it not being overly sweet like some belgians i think this would do fine with some food. An interesting beer!
