COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amber beer (8 % alc. / vol.) refermented in the bottle. A speciality beer brewed over lees in winter using the first malt and hops from the last harvest. Roasted malts give it its characteristic amber hue. Obtained by top fermentation, the "Biere Nouvelle" is characterised by fruity flavours and a good bite. Biere Nouvelle must be served with care (leaving behind the fine yeast sediment) at about 10°C. Available from February while stocks last in 750 ml bottles corked and stamped

Bottle. Amber pour, frothy white head. Aroma is quite grassy/earthy, lots of grain as well, quite reminescent of Orval and belgian saisons. Taste is bitter and grainy, grassy hops. Palate has a nice alcohol touch, some saison dryness to it as well. A good beer.

Clamped 750 from Holiday in Escondido.Pours clear light copper with a foamy 4 finger white head. Med body. Lightly fruity, somewhat hoppy with a nice mild yeasty/earthy flavor. A bit more "aged" than many BdGs; a strkongly flavored BdG.

Lightly hazed golden color with a initially large white head that settles to a fluffy inch of suds. Aroma of dry grain, grass and hay. Quite Sec to use a wine term. Very effervescent. Dry grain, with hints of chardonnay. Dry cleansing type finish.

Bottled. "2009 Edition. Pours out in a slightly hazy pale amber colour with a rich fluffy white foam. Rich malty and fruity aroma of apricots and dried oranges with a mild understated yeastiness. Medium to full-bodied with firm malty notes of nectarines, dried oranges, cookies and mild yeast with subtle notes of grassy noble hops and herbs. Long balanced aftertaste of orange-peels, butter, herbs and grass. Elegant and quaffable.
