Originally rated July 2007. Second brew tonight of the St-Urbain series. Pours a clean bronze colour with little to no carbonation. Off-white head that is foamy and does not stay as long as their blonde. A bit of lacing sticks to the glass. The aromas are pretty much the same as the blonde, and so is the mouthfeel. Again, that not-so-good metallic taste appears in the taste. The malt is different in this one, obviously, to make this a red lager. Meant to be dranked in the bottle though. I think I prefer the blonde.

Bouteille 341ml. 4.9%. Couleur ambrée-brune, mousse blanche-beige.

slight malty notes, hardly any hops, another boring lager. Pretty macro, and nothing to write home about.

Meh. Pours copper-bown, with a minimal head. Grainy-sweet aromas come through with the initial taste. Thin caramel and hops finish. Overall bland and uninspired but commerically drinkable.

Clear copper brown, modest cream coloured head. Low caramel aroma. Near-featureless palate of watery caramel with a metallic finish. Not nice.

341 ml bottle- Deep copper/amber pour with a beige frothy head. Malty nose of mild caramel and candy with some grains. Flavour is sweet malts with an earthy yeastiness and grains as well. Pretty weak overall, finishes watery and thin. Meh.

Sweet coca-cola-like nose, deep copper, nice toffee head, some pretty lace too. Mild nuttiness, some malt, light bodied, sweet, very little carbonation? Not much going on here.
